Debate Ishtar on ethics of school shootings, fathers, CPS

A monster would not have surrendered to a goddamned school resource officer.

Incredible I'm the only one in this thread that has any capacity for empathy at all.
Why? He's a monster, not a suicidal idiot. He probably knows that the Georgia courts won't have the balls to kill him, and he even got defenders like you to help him once he gets out

Allow me to give you a short story on this infamous machine. The reason the driver is viewed as a folk-hero, and not a crazed maniac, is because he targeted people that had exactly the fate and repercussions coming to them.
Politicians aren't human, and anyone who treats politicians like the next coming of Christ thinking they will fix everything and truly believes them should be tarred, feathered, and then shot like our ancestors did to tax collectors.
Okay so instead of killing random school people, he should have committed matricide? Maybe patricide too?

Maybe he should have hanged himself and became another statistic? Ending his life because that's so much better right?

I genuinely find the lack of compassion here revolting, like not even basic human decency. Just seething animal brutality.
If he kills his mother there's no real net loss to society.

It is hard to have empathy for him when normal people come from more fucked up households.
Tards like you are why the death penalty are capital crimes only and rarely gets an execution. It's undisputed that he shot and killed four people. Unless defense counsel can prove he had an identical twin who did framed him or that there was a second shooter, just drag him out five minutes post verdict and cap him with a 9mm. Would save the taxpayer a lot of money.

After catching up, I have concluded that its not why did this kid go off the rails, but why wouldn't he? Divorce, meth, domestic violence, this is straight out of Breaking Bad. Yeah this wasn't a glow op, this was one angry 14 year old.
There are plenty of people on a similar situation that dont chimp out and go around murdering people. You would wish most people on a similar situation wouldn´t go around murdering people or there would be not many people in the world.

People seem to trivialize how uncommon it is to idealize real violence - maybe in our midst is more common - but how extremely rare it is to act in cold unprovoked (at least with violence) blood. This is a trait of the lowest of the low of human kind, to act this violently without a violent provocation.

Unironically if he got out, I would give him whatever help he needed-a job, references, sign off an apartment lease, you name it.

Because I care, and I am capable of this abstract difficult thing called love for one's fellow man.

Apparently, that's beyond you though.

Is anyone here but me actually capable of love at all?

You are reforming the argument to fit your narrative and I find it astonishing. That whole bit about how he'd be dead by 30 working a minimum-wage job, my god. This smacks of someone blaming all their failings on something particular.

No one should be forced to that point. We can understand why a person does something without it "being okay." This is very basic, something most psychologically well-adjusted people learn early on. If he had killed his mother for treating him so poorly, yes, people would have had sympathy for his actions. People cannot have sympathy for him killing two mentally retarded classmates and two teachers, for shooting nine other people, for leaving a trail of broken people behind him. Should he have had help? Yes. But that doesn't mean he gets a pass for what he's done. Does that mean he has to die? No. But he does have to pay for what he's done. That isn't sadism, no matter what the hamster running in your brain is telling you right now. There has to be consequences for such a monumental action on the part of a person, regardless of their age. He killed four people and hurt nine people. He ruined 13 lives directly, countless lives indirectly. It has to be atoned for. That is not sadism. That is justice. His mother should also be held to account for her crimes.

But you seem to have no compassion for his victims, and I find THAT revolting. His victims were also children; they were people just going about their day. They didn't do shit to him. They were there to fucking learn. One of them was literally so retarded he didn't know to staunch the bleeding. What could that kid have possibly done to earn that?

As I stated, we can have compassion for someone, but that doesn't make their actions okay. You are trying to justify his actions, and you are trying to offload his actions. Oh, he was a little white boy in Georgia, his mother was a meth addict, what other choice did he have? Ask all the other poor white trash with meth-addict mothers what they did. They didn't do that. Your logic is faulty; you are in your feelings, and now your arm digs deeper into your bag of pink Doritos.

There are people that suffer every single day in worse situations. That kid had so many options. He could have ran away. Could have called the cops on his parents doing meth. Could have focused on his school studies. Instead he goes ahead and kills two disabled children and two teachers. That is psychotic. I have no sympathy. Did everyone fail him? Yes. He still chose to shoot those people. He did not have to. Fuck that kid.

But I guess the mob just wants their pound of flesh and never to be forced to think outside their bestial instincts, that would be demanding.'

Expecting people to show any capacity for civilized grace or systematic reflection is just too much. Just herd animals not an ounce of humanity here.
This is top-tier trolling. GG.

This thread is wild. Yesterday before I stopped checking yall were convinced it was a pooner or a black guy. Now that is some white trash kid, yall are calling for empathy.
there's one guy who's saying that, and now he has a pink triangle for having retarded opinions

the system works

as long as it agrees with my opinions

Did you not read? If someone had intervened, these people wouldn't be dead. They are collateral of this boy being failed. None of them had to die, it wasn't inevitable. If it was, then I would be singing a different tune.

Incredible you can't make the connection between show a beaten dog compassion and it won't bite anyone after its resocialized.

Ishtar, this is your brain on eurocommunism

Yes, if only the little boy had asked YOU for a reference or help with a lease for an apartment. You're a fucking loon.

The time for sympathy was before he walked into the school and killed four completely innocent people.
Is it a tragedy that kids grow up in awful conditions? Yes it is. Loads of sympathy for those kids, they need so much more help than they get. But the second you start shooting up a school you cross a line from victim to aggressor and at that point you've lost any right to sympathy.
What should he have done? There’s no zero sum game here, there’s no ‘just play the right moves and it’s all great.’ The kid was destined for a bad life and THAT is what should give society pause. We should be helping these kids BEFORE they do bad things. Once he wrecked four innocent families he deserves to be put down.
Compassion is for the innocent. Some things are unforgivable.
Anyone able to explain to me what causes a 14 year old to be tried as an adult there? Is it the severity of the crime, or at discretion of the authorities or what?

The boy had a choice in the matter. He picked up the gun. He pulled the trigger. He is smarter than a dog yet chose to behave like one. Now he should be treated like one. A feral mutt.
