I don't know what their initial intent was, but I have to hand it to them this was a success. I doubt there was ever any big plan or goal they had for phil. If anyone remembers how this all got started, phil was always a secondary lolcow they would make fun of occasionally but then phil happened to wander over to their chat and then it snowballed from there. @SauceRyuKen has already mentioned each of these 2 points, but I want to make sure they don't get lost amidst all the other craziness.

1.) Among all the other reasons "sold muh account" is bullshit, I believe number one is that no one noticed despite multiple people independently tracking all aspects of the account. Our Mystery Buyer maintained DSP's unbroken streak of logins, continued only playing the game in perfect accord with DSP's streaming schedule, and spent money so exactly like DSP did, that to all outside observers, it was as if the account was continuously owned by the same person....

2.) Dave finished off his betacuck ragequit of his own interview with "I'm not interested" in being on Craig's show. If Craig had said, "Yeah King, we'd LOVE to have you on our show, whaddya say?", then maybe that response could've been a speck of the own Dave thinks it is. But what really happened was, Craig said Dave could be on his show with the same enthusiasm you tell a girl you've gladly dumped that yeah, we can still be friends and you can call me some time. Phil really has never emotionally developed past middle school.
