Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Using thermite is still retarded. There's a reason this was never the go-to strategy. If you want to burn shit down, napalm is far more effective. If you want to defoliate an area, that's why we invented agent orange. Chase soldiers out of a trench? Well, that's why the good lord gave us lung irritants. In what world is dropping thermite the most effective solution on the battlefield?

I will admit it makes for a pretty twitter post. Straight from the producers of the Kursk and Zaporizhia offenses.

wouldnt napalm be too heavy to use with the drone?

As @Romeo posted yesterday the AFU Donetsk front is continuing to crumble.

The Ukraine is retreating from Pokrovsk; they are flooding the mines "so that the enemy will not take possession of our natural resources." Very reminiscent of the retreat of the Reich's Army Group South in the summer of 1943. Link

Destroyed Marder BMP-nothing any of the regulars here haven't seen before but the soldier describing it is hilarious:

Meh, in all fairness it’s not that easy to go from Russian moon-runes to Western moonrunes and vice versa.

Especially when some of the letters, like L is pronounced with a different sound like L.
I don't know why someone wouldn't just want to use napalm. To destroy a treeline you want something that adheres and burns for a period of time., not some intense but brief flash half of which will take place in the air. I am admittedly thinking of this in terms of its actual stated purpose of removing foliage and vegetation rather than any unstated goal of clearing out people - for which napalm would play very poorly in the USA. So perhaps that is a reason for Thermite - it's still horrible if you were caught in it but the name is different and that's what matters in the media.

That said, a drone moving slow enough to be a crop duster is a drone moving slow enough to be spotted and shot down.

I'm surprised they're not salting the Earth by this point and to Hell with the farmers and people who live there. They'd rather the land be poisoned than let someone else have it. Even the people born and raised there. At least flooding the mine should (I hope) be reversible? I'm not a miner.
Typical Hohol. “I don’t care if I get hurt, if it’s at least a mild inconvenience to the Moskals!”

Yeah, the locals will get fucked, but many of the locals have Russian loyalties.

There have been plenty of videos of Hohol soldiers complaining that the locals are waiting for the Russians to come, or are reporting their position to the Russian army.

Oh… And apparently the strategic geniuses in Kiev have sent reinforcements to New York, including elements of the Azovites.

You don’t have to be Zhukov to realize that this is an extraordinarily retarded idea.

Also, enjoy some Soviet Core!

Dang, I actually understood that! My lessons are slooowly paying off!
Me too, I forced myself to finally post in Russian in my fav TG chat. Which brings me to...

Today is Tankers Day in Russia.

I wish to congratulate Russian tankers for serving their Motherland. I congratulate our American tankers too, and know they will protect our land when asked to do so-at home-where they are desperately needed.

A couple more lucky escapes. I've no idea how they got out of the second one. Maybe the "mine-proof" design means it flips the passengers out sideways while blowing the roof a hundred meters high.

From the BBC reporting of the Poltova attack earlier this week, revealing that behind the scenes they read and trust the same web sites as us.

And bad news for anyone who has been celebrating the rise of the untouchable Russian pirate movie sites. The state regulator has banned Brokeback Mountain, forced "legitimate" streaming services to remove it and completely blocked the bootleg sites that still host it.

Russia’s media watchdog, Roskomnadzor, has blocked several websites that hosted pirated copies of the 2005 Oscar-winning melodrama ‘Brokeback Mountain’, which centers on a love affair between two gay cowboys.
The drama was directed by Ang Lee and stars late Academy Award-winning actor Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. The film takes place in 1960s Wyoming and tells the story of two cowboys who become romantically involved. The movie has been described as the “first gay western” and won a number of awards upon its release in 2005, including Oscars for best director, best adapted screenplay, and best soundtrack.
Following the adoption of a new Russian law banning LGBTQ propaganda, which introduced hefty fines for violations, Roskomnadzor published a list of films and TV series that should be prohibited in the country to comply with the new legislation.

’Brokeback Mountain’ was among the movies on the blacklist and was subsequently removed from all official video streaming services.
Last year, the Supreme Court of Russia also outlawed the “international LGBT public movement” and designated it as an “extremist group,” accusing it of sowing “social and religious discord” in the country.
In March, Russia’s Federal Financial Monitoring Service expanded its designation of persons and organizations deemed to be involved in extremist activities or terrorism to include the “LGBT movement” and its “structural units.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin, meanwhile, has clarified that the authorities do not have any issues with what members of the gay community do in their personal lives, as long as they “don’t flaunt it” in public and do not involve children.
He has also spoken out against the promotion of “non-traditional sexual relations” as part of a drive to promote “family values” which began during his third presidential term in the early 2010s.

Funnily they're still using Getty Images. I wonder if they're paying royalties.

Gotta love all their special little days.

Everyone gets one! Tankers, submarine men, intelligence agents… Shit even railroad soldiers get their own little day!

Dropping napalm requires an aircraft to fly direct over its target. In modern combat zone its a suicide mission.

Everyone gets appreciated. I prefer this to pride parades.

And shit, most people dont realize how ballbusting railroad work is. I did it for a year and felt ten years older afterwards.

Everytime I see a new article about the Ukies inventing new ways to break international law, all I can ever think about is that one day this'll probably be used on Americans. But it's fine for now, because it's just "orcs"
>Burn a few soldiers with your homemade napalm drone
>Lose several thousands of soldiers to thermobaric bombs on the reg

NAFO will insist that this is a winning trade and that this modern equivalent of the Volkssturmgewehr will surely be the wonder weapon that wins the war.

Interesting was the part of Ukraine cracking down on refugee's. If you want to keep your passport you will have to update your military documents...

And Poland, France, Germany are all ramping up massive training centers. I would expect the next step will be to to start rounding up refugee "volunteers" to fill them.

Dumb question but how would you suggest learning Ruskie? Something tells me it's going to be an in-demand language in 3-5 years lol.
I don't know about that. Maybe I could see it being useful if you plan on touring Russia. But outside of that I don't see it expanding past that part of the world. If your ukrainian then you likely already know Russian.

English is the universal language of business. Chinese is becoming more common in tech and software.
And as a person living in muttland I personally have found it useful knowing spanish. I can't really envision Russian becoming a thing anywhere in the west. They arn't going to go out and start World Policing everywhere.

He is running around with Akhmat SF group in Kursk checking out busted ukrainian positions.
They eat their cookies and take their ammo. The positions all look like hobo camps with food and ammo that looks like it came from walmart rather then proper military issued stuff.
And he gets an interview with a Major General who says the 2-3 months timeline.
They're just getting pallets of civilian food and making improvised MREs it appears.

Western militaries must be out of MREs or super reluctant to donate more supplies and instead wpuld rather buy them
