They most likely want to be like some heroic rebel they aspire from or something. Why bother having a dialogue with those that oppose you when you can be like that guy from V for Vendetta and stick it to the man.

I hear this all the time. The craziest one I know said it to me once. I politely told her that so long as she expects me to take her extreme views on faith and without understanding or critically inspecting them, I have an ethical obligation to resist her. Which I really believe - "shut up and follow orders" is a well-documented path to hell throughout history.

She broke down sobbing dramatically and ran out of the room because I was being a big dumb meanie.

To be honest with you this is probably nothing new in Europe; regardless of the groups' political views. I just think it's stupid to attack random people and destroying their property.
