700 euros/dollars/anglo for a new version of the machine that was once advertised as "up to 120fps!" and yet never even reached 60fps on 50% of the games, same with the 4K resolution, what even is the point if the framerate is at 30 at 1080p?!
People should just buy a PC at this point and abandon the consoles market. I'm sure that's what most Japs are going to do.

The more I think about it, the worse it gets, They are selling a mid-gen refresh for the price of a new console generation. and what you are getting is;

- 45% better performance (allegedly).
- More reflections.
- A better upscaler.

Back in the 90s Sega attempted the first "Pro" model refresh with the 32X

technically, that wasn't a "pro" genesis but a "lite" saturn, since it has the same-ish hardware. Hell, there were even warnings regarding the 32X being able to damage your genesis games if you used it that way.

While it's true Sega (at least in the American side) wanted to still keep the genesis alive, that 32X idea only came about because Sega (actual japan sega) shat their pants over the fucking Atari Jaguar of all things.

If I was the greedy fucks at T2, I would sell a standard version at standard price, and then a premium version at 100 dollars with some bullshit cosmetics and one week early access to GTA Online 2.
