I honestly don't think he got as much wrong as people say before he pickled his brain, although it seems now his specialty is being absolutely wrong about everything all the time.

I was dubious about him because I couldn't see how he could be an actual practicing attorney, given how much he was streaming and how drunk he was getting. The other LawTuber I was somewhat familiar with was Leonard French and it was pretty obvious from watching that he had a very small practice, specialising in the internet and IP law. But you could see when the real work interfered with the internet tomfoolery.

My suspicion was that Rekieta had independent means and had trained as a lawyer for the status rather than because he wanted to practice. I didn't watch him enough to know how off-beam his legal acumen was -- and I wouldn't have been in any position to differentiate anyway. But I knew how hard and how long young, recently qualified lawyers have to work to stand any chance of surviving, paying off their debt and making a living and there was no way in hell that Rekieta could be doing any of that.

I only watched the clips. I liked him because he was pretending to be a free speech absolutist. I just didn't believe he did any legal work.
