They honestly believe they can beat Vance. However, the reality is the last person they want is Vance...No matter how bad Orange Hitler is, he won't do all the things the Left says he will. He's not willing to. Vance? Vance is infinitely more into the Red than Trump is. Trump would never pass a federal abortion ban. Vance might. Vance is young and to be honest, he's been killing it. He's very charismatic and isn't bogged down with Trump's mouth. As far as successors go, I don't think Trump could've done a better job. I don't think they'll be getting what they want by putting him in charge. It think he'd DESTROY these Feds. Especially after murdering his predesscor.

I don't want to be too specific but something near identical happened in my area, it wasn't haitians though but a different kind of foreigner. They rode up to someones farm and jumped their fence and started touching the farm animals, then asked the owner if they could buy some of the animals. Lucky they didn't get shot dead.

basically in most cases where there's a lot of moving parts cops pin the guy with the most obvious and indisputable shit first to get him locked up hard, then there's plenty of time to get your cases together for the complicated stuff

9.30 AM PT -- The U.S. District Attorney for the Southern District of Florida released an affidavit ... which reveals Routh’s public Facebook post from July 10 urged followers to contact him via WhatsApp. Phone records show the number registered to that phone was located near the golf course from 1:59 AM to 1:31 PM on September 15 ... suggesting he was scouting the area before the attempted assassination.
The affidavit also notes Routh was seen fleeing in a Nissan SUV, which was later stopped by police. Routh was the sole occupant and acknowledged knowing why he was pulled over, according to authorities. The Nissan’s license plate was registered to a stolen Ford truck. A witness from the golf course identified Routh at the vehicle stop as the person they had seen at the scene.
Ryan Wesley Routh, the man suspected of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course Sunday, made his first appearance in Florida court Monday morning.
Routh was charged with 2 counts -- possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Routh will be back in court Monday, Sept. 23, for a formal detention hearing, and is set to be arraigned on Sept. 30.
Further charges were not announced, though they are expected. No shots were fired by the attempted assassin Sunday, according to reports.
Routh was dressed in dark prison scrubs, with his hands and feet shackled, as he made his way into the Paul G. Rogers Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in West Palm Beach, Florida earlier Monday.
He reportedly sat quietly for about 5 minutes ... showing no visible signs of nervousness, before marshals led him away to await his hearing.
Routh was detained Sunday 50 miles north of the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach ... where law enforcement claims Routh allegedly showed up with an AK-47-style rifle with a scope, 2 backpacks, and a GoPro.
As we've reported, the alleged assassination attempt was thwarted when a Secret Service agent spotted the rifle protruding through a fence about 300-500 yards away from where Trump was golfing, and fired a shot in that direction. The suspect's weapon was not fired. Authorities say Routh fled the scene before officers caught up with him.
Trump's first assassination attempt was back in July, by Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was shot dead at the scene by Secret Service.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last assassination attempt on a major presidential candidate was the shooting and paralysing of Gov. George Wallace, which ended his bid for the 1972 Democratic nomination.
OK, these examples weren't related to a presidential campaign, but President Ford escaped two assassination attempts in September 1975, both in California and both attempts done by women. The first was by Manson Family member Squeaky Fromme in Sacramento. The second was in San Francisco by political activist Sara Jane Moore, who'd hoped to spark a revolution.

The man's actions and demeanor don't match the profile of any sort of schizo. I was holding out a distant hope he was just a nutjob but completely calm after a night of lockup? The careful planning that went in to all this with clear intent to escape with a not awfully planned out bit of work? This is the actions of someone who knew exactly what they were doing, and with more than a little backing.
Intent and setup is all you need for an attempt. Attempted Murder with every single add on for it being a former president and presidential candidate.

During the press conference yesterday the cop said someone saw him running out of the bushes and getting in his car to flee so they took a picture of the vehicle with license plate visible and that's how they caught him so quickly. I don't know how they would've caught him at all without it. I doubt the SS guy had a good view of him or the vehicle for a description.
