Philosophy Tube / Oliver Lennard / Oliver "Olly" Thorn / Abigail Thorn - Breadtube's Patrick Bateman.

It's like a slightly less scandalous yet equally bad looking version of the feather outfit Hunter Schafer wore at the Oscars 2023.

I guess showing off your deformed implants and scars is a part of trans pride.
Also why do TIMs get fake tits or stuff their moob-bras but won't wear padded hip shorts to at least somewhat resemble a feminine figure?

Came to post I’m seeing 0 press or anything about the movie except what interviews olly did.

On the general movies subreddit there was a post with the trailer with only a few comments and well:

Only place I’m seeing any hype/good reviews is from the other troons on the pt sycophant subreddit. And even then it’s like 40 comments…

Does he post many pictures like this of him with anyone else on Nebula? Or is it just Choob he lavishes his attention on? Because I'm about 85% sure they're fucking at this point.
I guess if I squint I can see how a chaser would be into Hunter Schafer or (younger) Blaire White. But Chube?????? Is it just proximity?

I can’t get over how much I disliked the hair/clothes/makeup. It’s something maybe a petite 19 year old actual woman could have pulled off. On choob it just exaggerates how he’s a big hulking man. Imagine how much the waiter actor laughed when he saw he had to pretend olly is breathtaking.

It's funny that there is an undercurrent of genuine feeling in this film, and it is real DISCOMFORT from everyone on set.

His outfit has breached new worst get up award.

There's been a distinct lack of activity on his subreddit. A few half hearted cut and paste slay queenisms, but I think a lot of people are tiring and now a bigger percentage of the small amount of interaction is critical..

Yeah it had no real plot and was almost entirely in the same area. The "same area" thing almost reminds me of a theatre production. Not that it would've been much better as live theatre, as virtually all of it is just two characters talking and Olly being insanely cringe the whole time.

It depends. Is not uncommon but it is where a director can really express their voice. How its framed, blocked, lit, edited sets those that know how to use a camera from those that can only turn it on. In not wanker words, there are many ways you can show a dialogue heavy, same location exchange and make it lively and engaging. The people behind this did none because they were banking on the stellar Fleabag at home script to carry them. Theatre still has blocking, you have to know how you arrange things it isn't just people talking and suspension of disbelief.
It's definitely more of a theatre thing and it can work pretty well, I always liked Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and when I saw it on stage it was set in one to a few rooms but the writing and characters is what makes it interesting. It's harder to make a single room setting work in a film, and if the writing is bad or mediocre it's going to be even more underwhelming. It is funny though that "The Room" was initially named as such because Tommy Wiseau wanted the movie to take place in one room, and I can't help seeing a bit of Wiseau-ism in Toob.

I’d ask doesn’t he feel at all embarrassed writing a movie, which he wrote knowing he would star in it, in which he’s a stunning glamorous woman that all men fall in love with? But of course he lacks the self-awareness/shame for that. I guess if he managed to feel any shame he would reframe it as “trans women deserve to feel beautiful and proud of themselves. Trans joy. I am advancing the cause.”

A real woman who did this, especially who looked and had the talent of Chube, would be widely mocked.

I can't believe something finally clicked on my mind, but it finally did: Choob reminds me of Alfred Ashford from Resident Evil: CODE Veronica. The "twin" brother of Alexia Ashford in essence, she's the genetic copy of Veronica Ashford, a project from Alexander Ashford - which created twins. But Alfred wasn't so lucky in the "intelligence" regard, so there you go. that rules the Rockfort Island. And likes dressing up and pretending to be Alexia. While the true Alexia is in stasis until woken up in 1998. Peter Oldring provided the voice on the original 2000 game, and was a little bit over the top (in a good way), something amusing in a few ways. Definitely more amusing than Choob could ever hope to be.

I like how he’s doing the “I love YOU, the FANS, the FANS are everything to me, I would DIE for my FANS” thing now but whenever his fans ever actually try to talk to him he’s incredibly dismissive and rude.

Maybe he had a bad experience at the Emmys and realised actual show business bigshots will never accept him as a peer. Or maybe it’s just the usual Choobian insincerity.

In the original novel the sexy temptress character who starts the story beating suitors off with a stick who Dracula feeds on ends up with her head cut off , a stake through her heart , and put inside a coffin with the lid soldered on. Makes ya think.
I have to disagree with this, Lucy is not a sexpot character in the novel. She has been saddled with that interpretation in most adaptations, but she is more of a "pure, innocent" archetype whose death establishes the "stakes."

I didn't know Olly wrote the script when I read through it, but I laughed at the "My ex is Count Dracula" part because it was so lazy. He truly couldn't think of a better way to bring that up organically than to do a fourth-wall moment? There's a lot of stuff like that in it that. The sex parts make the whole thing worse, and everything is so overt and crass the whole time that there is no buildup at all in the script. Their acting was very one-note as well.

I know this is probably old news to you guys, but I just started watching Fleabag and it's darkly obvious that ol' Choob is tying to be Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It's getting in the way of me actually enjoying the show. I'd never seen her before in anything but it's so uncanny.
I always assumed Waller-Bridge was a tranny until I heard her speak then looked up her background(surprise surprise she’s also an upper class cunt.) If true at least Choobs had enough sense to skinwalk a mannish woman instead of someone like Emilia Clarke.

It's doing my fucking head in, but I just can't find the article I want to find.
It's from about 18 months after Fleabag finished on TV, and it's bemoaned the "fleabagification" of comedy and drama-that is, all shows deciding they need a forth wall breaking, straight to camera asides, and how desperately overdone it was. This is 4 years ago now. It's old news 4 years ago.
As per for mister come lately.
Everything from trooning out to creative "devices" employed, is desperately late, overplayed, waiting on the slowest punter at the back of the queue to puff and pant onto the bus.

Apparently Brian styled this outfit. If my imagination is accurate and Brian secretly hates Ollie and tries to find new and interesting ways to make him look bad without Ollie realising, this is a tour de force. I will say the brands that have been selected are all really interesting ones, and I like some of the pieces in isolation, but obviously Ollie does not look good.

Holy shit that dress is supposed to look like that? Even on an actual woman it doesn't look that great

I could be wrong, but it isn't an actual woman. Or if it is, it's a woman unfortunately endowed with the hands, arms, shoulders, chest and hips of a man.

It would certainly look better on a person with bigger breasts, a smaller chest, narrower shoulders and wider hips, but I wouldn't put money on it looking much better.

I think it's especially pronounced with anything to do with Dracula's Ex-Girlfriend. Wiskus himself replied to this one (before it got deleted)
neb1.png
There's some more guarded posts on that subreddit about "seeing things you didn't subscribe to" or "wanting to block certain creators" which is likely in response to how much Ollie's vampire short got plugged.
There's very little discussion elsewhere on Dracula's Ex-Girlfriend. If we're being charitable that might partially be because it's limited to being viewed on Nebula, and there's only about 680,000 users. I did find this on /r/movies

but that was in response to the trailer, not anyone who's actually watched this. There's only about 25 tweets about it since it came out - and that includes tweets from Ollie, Dave et al. with a big chunk of the remainder being Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel fans excited about seeing Brandon/Morgana. There's only 10 skeets on Bluesky. This thread may well represent the most concentrated and extensive discussion on the short on the internet.
Also there's merch, including some ludicrously flattering character portraits:
stickers.jpgglass.jpgmug.jpgcroptop.jpg
The use of the graffiti/bleeding heart image is a bit mystifying because that's not actually featured on the main poster, any of the PR releases or indeed anywhere in the short. It's just a random stock image they've slightly tweaked and started slapping on things

It looks slightly better on a different model, more so in a different fabric
NARR-WD83_V1.jpgreddress.jpg
The idea of a metallic bust element that looks like it's made of gold coins is interesting, but the construction is too poor for it to really work. Even on the product photographs you can see the gold circles gapping and revealing the black fabric underneath, which wrecks the illusion and really it should have been backed with gold lame or something. Also the thing is too flimsy to hold its shape properly so it just becomes a shapeless strip of gold, rather than having distinct cups. Not to mention I don't think the cutout is actually adding anything because it really does create a "you put a backless dress on backwards and your bra is showing" appearance. Something more like this
tweaked.jpg
might have worked a bit better, although it's not really having the same impact at that point... and would have still looked awful on Ollie as the wide neckline would still really over-emphasise his rugby player shoulders.
