Lol I vaguely remember NON-paid shills who played the concord beta summing up the crew loadouts as basically a boring and watered down version of Paladin's perks (or whatever those card things were called, I haven't played Paladins in years)

The re-designed face of the pink haired character is garbage. It's bland and uninteresting. The orginal at least looks like a different race with distinct facial features and uniquely shaped ears. I can't believe I defend a fucking Concord design but here we are. The re-design is a blue human face with elf ears. It's nothing but fanart.

Agreed. The character is themed as a jumpy or shifty creature, hence her nose, burrowed short eyebrows and animal legs. He just took her and scrapped off all of her features to end up with "woman".

They already tried that in the comics with Ironheart and no one fucking liked her. Now, normally, sane people would take this as a sign and not try again but then again, this is clown world and woketards never learn from their mistakes.
It was actually a bit worse than that.
Black character has family killed in a driveby, then gets a golden ticket for MIT because they're black. Then proceeds to steal a bunch of shit from the university and builds herself a super-suit out of it, then when the cops knock on the door because the black girl stole a bunch of shit, she runs away. Eventually Stark gets out of his coma, finds her and goes "congrats, even though you've committed multiple felonies, are a wanted criminal, and stole a bunch of shit just to create yourself a weapon while pissing away your free higher education, you should be a hero!"
The only way they could have made it worse, is if she ran from the cops with a piece of watermelon in one hand, and some malt liquor in the other.

It was fucking funny. A lot of the criticism against Riri (what a name) was that she read like a sociopathic villain. Her story actually works really well as a villain. I'd be into that if it was the case. Would make her an interesting character.
Unfortunately she was pushed as "the better Iron Man"
I thought he was called War Machine but I digress.
It's funny though how these people are unable to write black people without being brain dead or racist yet War Machine, a black guy, existed ages ago before all that shit and he's the superior character.
Makes me actually wonder what Concord would have looked like if it was created in, say, pre-Gamergate when all this shit didn't bleed into everything

They so desperately wanted to copy Marvel so its kind of ironic that the entire game got Thanos snapped out of existence.
Competent character design? Not looking super generic? Overwatch had skinny characters, fat characters, old characters, and was really popular(until blizzard proceeded to kill it with a half dozen reasons) and before blizzard started making characters gay, people just assumed there were gays and shit in it already and no one cared because it wasn't the focus.
Really concord was a shit show from the leadership right on down. I can understand a dev studio wanting to make a hero shooter in 2018. But not having it done yet by 2022? And Sony being willing to dump 100 million into this shit? Clearly that happened because whichever retard who wrote the check just assumed that because Overwatch's popularity had died down, that there must be a gap in the market to fill, while not bothering to notice the other games(some of which still aren't out but had been announced, and tied to recognizable IPs), instead of the truth of the situation that the remaining hero shooter fanbase was already spread thin and most people just moved the hell on.
Pre gamer-gate? I don't think a game like this, overwatch, quake champions, etc. would have been made at all to be honest. Pre gamer-gate, the game community wasn't filled with retards who are incapable of disassociating themselves from the character on screen, that's why they insist they need characters that look like them. These people also clearly never read many books, and have no fucking imagination. It's the same crowd surprised that straight men liked bayonetta or lollipop chainsaw, they're so fucking poorly mentally developed that their brains cannot handle the concept of seeing a fictional character that isn't themselves.
So if someone did make a hero shooter, before gamer-gate. It probably would have been filled with characters that looked like they belong in Halo, Gears of War, Bulletstorm, shit like that. Maybe even borderlands type stuff.

Yeah they took probably the best design of the bunch (along with green guy and the melty mushroom) and made it look like something you can do with the Final Fantasy character creator. The OG design on the blue bitch wasn't bad but the general atmosphere of woke and the shitty snarky VA makes the character unlikable in the long run.

They probably saw the discs selling for ludicrous prices on the second-hand market, and figured people would buy up the merch to flip, too.
I mean one unique thing was that forklift tranny, the entire game feels like it was made in 2 - 4 years at max. its just wasnt enough to win over anything, and retards used it for there culture war even tho its clear it failed bc it had nothing to show for.

Oh yeah. The first bayonetta game was complained about by Anita Sarkeesian. Then when the 2nd game released a bunch of people decided it was some lesbian fantasy or some shit because Jeanne? So like Waifuchu mentioned a bunch of alphabet people got super angry when the 3rd game released and she turned out to be straight and with a kid... like everyone with a functioning brain assumed.

And with the lollipop chainsaw remake, there were alphabet people asking on twitter how anyone straight could be into the aesthetic or whatever because it's a girly character and there's rainbows, and she's a cheerleader, etc. since clearly all gamers must be like them and assume the character in a game represents them. This shit has been going on since the early 2000s with MMOs where people assume that a guy who picks a female character must be gay or something when the simple reality is for 90% of people... they don't want to stare at a man's ass for 3000 hours.
So yes, whenever you see a character in a game that's a fat black tranny with an amputated arm and vitiligo, that character exists because someone thinks that fat black tranny amputees with vitiligo are a significant enough demographic to bother trying to appeal to and will only choose that character.
This idea of people needing to be the character or whatever is so fucking stupid and goes back so far that the opposite happened with Halo 5, where the devs for some insane reason didn't think Master Chief was the main character, and was just a faceless avatar for the player to imagine themselves as so that's how Locke wound up getting shoehorned into the franchise.
Yes, as a society shit has gotten this fucking stupid regarding people understanding fiction. The only shit most of these people have ever read is purely crap from a forum, twitter, etc. Just look at the TV shows and movies loaded up with obvious self-insert characters, that are usually awful. The writers putting this crap together can't write, the consumers can't comprehend, it's insane.

Sunk-cost fallacy is one hell of a drug. The fun thing is that probably even Sony saw the writing on the wall long, long ago: Concord's gameplay just didn't bring enough to the table to distinguish itself from its competition in a VERY saturated market (I don't think the lack of microtransactions or a season pass was done out of respect for their customers, they knew in advance this wasn't going to be a big hit). So, to spice things up, long before the closed and open betas they decided to release a series of animated shorts (Freegunner Adventures, of which if I'm not mistaken only a couple episodes were released), promised weekly "cinematic vignettes" at least for the first season and secured a place in the upcoming Amazon videogame show. By the sound of it, none of this could be very cheap, even if it didn't look very impressive.
To make things short: facing an obvious problem of lack of game in their game, Sony's solution was to add movies. Jokes write themselves.
