Even in "the good ol' days" I can't think of anything funny that HE said on purpose. It was always either laughing AT him rather than "with him" or just the other person. In those days, I have unironically laughed with Drexel, as embarrassing at that is to say now, but never this guy.

Even in what was my favorite Nick stream - the "Nick/Josh Review DSP Bankruptcy Filing" stream from 2020, it was the Deer Sneeder that had the funnies, not the fake-ass internet lawyer.

He had more comedic sense back then, like off the top of my head I remember he threw out a reference to CPAP machines because his then rival T. Greg Doucette of Lawtwitter used one and it was actually amusing. He also had some good bits about his fellow alcoholic Kevin Landau, and it wasn't just Drexel who made the Jack Murphy stream (his last really good one) funny. The comedy from Nick's streams though were always his ability to react to stupid filings or articles or videos, and occasionally his guests.

His comedy has really devolved along with his health because of drugs and alcoholism. All of his worst traits like running jokes into the ground (eg "balls or no balls") or going off on lengthy tangents are magnified to the point of being agonizingly stupid. This started to become a thing as his alcoholism took hold in 2022 and hit the point of pure stupidity by 2023. That's not to say he was ever a really funny comedian, but he was capable of getting in good jabs every now and then when reading a filing or news article or reacting to someone. As often gets stated, he is a walking anti-alcohol/anti-drug PSA, "this is your brain on drugs" personified.
