Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Got this video in my recommended. At first I wasn't going to link it and just figured it's some guy's weird fetish material but then the account posting women with their mouths open referenced zoosadist content:
Narrator is okay. I think him calling something like smart schoolboy YouTube horror content is retarded. Besides that decent video.

but then the account posting women with their mouths open referenced zoosadist content:
I personally believe the guy is a genuine zoosadist. When i saw the thumbnail i immediately thought of the people who like watching monkeys being tortured to death. The girls are doing a similar face to a monkey howl, which they often do when tortured

There is a thread here about the whole "community" for lack of a better word. They have done amazing work in tracking and getting these sick fucks arrested

It was also definitely SCP, man fuck SCP. I'm still mad how they went back and rewrote 049 just because some favored writer probably wanted their oc version of the doctor to get popular and got everyone else to apply their shitty new standards to one old article in particular.
Wait, what the fuck did they do to 049? I fell out of the loop with SCP around when the original Containment Breach game died, and only peeked back into the madness when Metokur started a war with the wiki

The problem with Jeff the killer was the bad story attached to the original picture.
If I recall right, Jeff The Killer started out with a news article about a killer on the loose entering rooms through the window at night. I only ever read that part as a kid not knowing there was a whole ass story involved. I was later made aware of the actual story when people started to openly call Jeff The Killer bad. The news article part itself works I think. It's not the most inspired thing, but it serves the "Internet campfire story" shtick well enough, just imagine that face staring you down in the middle of the night. It serves as an example of less is more because the news article is all it ever needed to be.

Still the best cinema adaptation of that story we'll ever get.

I think this guy just has a fetish for scaring young women on the internet. Autojumpscarephilia. He’s to McKamey Manor like the blueberry inflation fetish community are to gainers/feedists.

While JTK is definitely a very weakly written story, I can't help but find it endearing for that very same reason - its poor quality ironically gives it a fair bit of mileage as a genuinely fun read. There's a lot of unintended enjoyment and humour to be found in stuff like Jeff's violent impulses being simplified down to a 'funny feeling', the kid in the news report talking like a grown adult, Randy and his gang fighting Jeff like a scene straight out of a beat 'em up game, and of course, the thing of bleach that gives Jeff his trademark white skin. It reads like a straight power fantasy - like all the other "[insert name here] the killer" stories that followed, but it's so of its time that I just can't dislike it.

This should be fun, I hope they end up covering all of the big 3

That's Adam Rosner, creator of the Tribe Twelve slender ARG and a massive degenerate himself (alleged zoophile, pedophile, rapist, jew, etc). Since the allegations came out he vanished (despite claiming in a phone call to have a response releasing soon) and the series is dead, although one of the people he worked with leaked the planned ending and lore.

Oh man I can't wait for CreepCast to discuss TribeTwelve

As an aside, fml. Out of the big 3, TribeTwelve was my favourite. It is just so depressing to see it dead because its creator turned out to be a massive creep.

What’s the best internet horror series?
I honestly don’t know what my personal favourite is, maybe EMH but I also like Local 58
Local 58 and Gemini for me. They are a solid and focused series. I really liked Eventide before the creator deleted everything and vanished due to backlash over an actually interesting idea (the government covered up an eldritch event at a school by claiming it was a school shooting).

kane pixel's stuff is honestly in a category of its own in terms of quality, imo
Kane is definitely a boy wonder when it comes to CGI, but sometimes he can get a little too artisy for my taste especially with the Oldest View. Which means he is perfect for A24. Any updates on how the movie is going? Being a director of a real movie when you are just out of high-school must be a nightmare disguised as a dream. Hollywood has a way of chewing people up and spitting them out.

Got this video in my recommended and it's pretty good if you don't want to watch the film! You can find Zero Day in full on YouTube if you want to watch it. It was an indie production that didn't make its money back so I'm not surprised it's on YouTube for anyone to watch.
It's about Columbine and similar to the film Elephant but it feels more real? Reminds me a lot of the film Nitram--recreating a shooting with a fake name. Nitram is a really good film highly recommend you watch it if you find the Port Arthur Massacre interesting.

true but he really reddemed himself with the new video, it feels like a direct response to the common "monsters ruin the fun" complaint.
It still creeps in and gets distracting. Like the guy monologing to himself at the end, it has a really strong red filter (to emphasize the despair I guess). He can tone it down a bit and make it more diegetic (like having him sitting against a red wall instead or an actual red light illuminating him).

Also, personal nitpick the guy acts like he has been in there for a long time, but looks the same. They should have shot the ending part first and then have him get a haircut (or better hide the long hair) so when we see him in the intro he looks clean cut, leading to a bigger contrast with the ending and better emphasize a long passage of time.

Yeah, honestly I don’t watch horror YouTube anymore except to laugh at how shitty is now, I get my horror fix from movies, games, books. It’s a shame because it used to be much better than legacy media for horror. Not anymore though
Then any books? Preferably audio books since I'm at work a lot but I'm not afraid to read.
Please do not recommend Steven King slop or house of leaves (I'm sure house of leaves is fine but that's way more than I'm looking for).
