The campaigns are pretty much done, the previous debate was the last chance she had to show up some substance or get some zingers on Trump but she failed. I don't see the point, I doubt anyone would change their minds at this point. It's only Trump's debate to lose.

I must admit though, my interactions with Indians have been very positive where I live. Where I live (rural South) Indians are always over educated and very patriotic about being in the USA. All the Indians (and Nigerians) I've met here are actual doctors or other educated occupations.

I thought many of the establishment media leftists were against Kamala because she aligned herself so closely to the progressive camp of the Dems. Internally, it seemed like they were content to let Kamala fall on the sword and focus their efforts on 2028. If Trump anoints Vance his pick for the nomination it'll be very rough for any Republican that tries to fight it without drawing the ire of the MAGA base, regardless though the ball is in Trump's court. Even more so if he wins and can fulfill his word on some of his promises. But I think Ron could still continue on in politics, maybe another shot at POTUS later down the line, but he'd probably do better locally, maybe running for one of the Florida senate seats.



Listened to his justification about FDR being in the top 5 "best", it largely seems to boil down to him president at the right time. Getting to be the one that oversaw America winning WW2 but for me that isn't enough for him to be in any sort of top 5 "best" presidents of all time. I would have swapped him out for someone like Eisenhower.

As much as it rankles me this is the right choice. A clean bill prevents stealth Democrat bullshit and while plenty of Right-Wing individuals are all gung-ho for a government shutdown it -does not play well with moderates-. And I -really- wish everyone who pushes for a Government Shutdown would get that through their damned heads.

It is electoral poison, pushing it is an almost certain way to lose electoral favorability, and doing so -right before an election- is always and has always been a bone headed and utterly stupid idea.

The House holds all of the power. The Senate has to accept whatever the House says or shut down the government.

I'm not a smart guy or anything, but it seems to me like this is pretty clear and i don't see any asterisk there or any mention of background checks or assault weapons or red flag anything. It's pretty simple. From my class on civics at CC, it was explained to me the "shall not be infringed" was put there just in case people want to mince words or try to spin what the previous words were tryign to say.

I am so annoyed over the debates on whether you be required to have some form of ID in order to vote. They made the argument that many americans today don't have a license to drive. Okay? You can still get your damn state ID. What fucking excuse do you have not to get a state ID?
