i really hope this doesn't fragment the playerbase

it definitely will increase the range of it as a start, especially since there's an american majority to begin with (yesterday night 70% of the server was not european).

it's healthier to be fair to all sides than to force one side to be miserable.

It's obviously the US who's the majority here.
This will definitely suck for the EU players, since the EU server won't have a huge player count and I won't play on the US server, since I don't like playing on pings above 120.

But, still, I would like to see the poll's result and I would keep both EU and US server up and running during friday when the announcement hits. Maybe I am wrong and it will work just fine for both eurofags and amerimutts. I don't know, we'll just have to see.

@babaisyou Start hosting events for the server and make a steam group or it will suffer the same fate as konata. it started strong but because the admin didnt do much it died

Eurofag here - I usually get acceptable pings (80-110) to US servers if they're on the east coast, the US server thats been set up is on the west though so it's floating at a "tolerable" 130-150 ping.

There should be a weekly or semiweekly session at MATI time like Kiwi station does to concentrate players. Maybe like a session at American times that the US server can be used for and a session at Euro times the other server can be used for.

I wouldn't be worried about the servers being dead between Monday and Thursday. It's fair to assume basically everyone here is at the very least an employed adult. The only common interference I can think of is missing out on the Friday MATI stream, but thankfully that can be watched later on the archive and I'll be perfectly honest, I'd rather fuck around on Hightower/Badwater/Hoodoo/Badlands/Steel and relive a piece of the past. TF2 weekends on my (now defunct) favorite britbong server used to be a sacred tradition until the underage faggots left for dota2, and the rest scattered to the wind due to TF2 becoming more and more garbage.

I would really appreciate it if weapons had their modern stats. I noticed the loch and soda-popper are using old stats. Speaking for myself, I'm hoping for an Uncletopia where you can say nigger. If not that, then just vanilla tf2 would be fantastic.

Pre revert amby duels is the best thing ever so it's worth. You can disable some reverts with !reverts

I have also received a tip from a kind kiwi and have closed a potential loophole which would allow the server IP (not the true true one) to be obtained for a very short period.
Unfortunately, this comes with the side effect that the server looks as if it had 255 players connected, this is not the case if you right click on the server in the browser and click on "View Server Info". I believe there is nothing that I can do about this as this is a SDR bug.

I know I will. That used to be nearly every weekend for me between 2009 annd 2013. It clashes with the Friday MATI, but like I said earlier, the archive exists... or someone with the right know-how could just broadcast the audio over voice chat.
