I disagree that this is the case. If reality was really fragmented in his mind, if he really believed himself to be the personas he's donning, he would be acting very differently than he currently does. I don't think it is just mental illness at play here - meaning something that is beyond his control, as would be the case with, say, a schizophrenic who really, truly believes that the voices in their head are real. I think malice and perversity are involved in this case.
Think about it: if he really believed himself to be a schoolboy, why would he create a video with dick sucking noises, or video himself while (apparently) tugging his meat in the mirror? And why would he hide his identity online so well if he truly thought, in his broken brain, that he is simply a schoolchild? My bad--I realize I was unclear. I completely agree with what you write here. I simply think that because David is playing out a fantasy online, much of what he writes is just that: fantasy. He doesn't really believe these things in real life... more like he *wants* to believe them, and there is a significant portion of his life that is make believe. The more we look into it, the more I feel like the online portion is especially that way. Just as it's complete fantasy that he's a schoolboy or a schoolgirl filming videos, much of this history may be alternate realities--perhaps how he'd wish things had played out on one hand, or on the other, embellished and hyperbolic accounts of the wrongs done him.

Just wanted to go back to this as it is fairly coincidental, David Alter newspaper article from I believe mid 90s? His address is listed as "Ashlake Road, Streatham"
The address for this 'I Alter' (possible Father) is from 1984? and these two addresses are 1.2 miles apart
For the 'I' initial, there's really not many options for what this name could be, the only possible English name would be Ian.
Other than that it would be foreign names like Ibrahim/Isaac (popular names in Kenya (where I believe he is from)

I was debating asking to go see the 1964 electoral register to note down everyone who lived in Kerrin Point - it's my understanding they look like this:

So it'd be pretty quick to scan through and try and spot names like "Gibson", "Stansfield" or "Alter", while also checking who lived in Flat 88. But only if David's father hadn't already left by then - no guarantee David's mother would have kept his surname (or even if they were married). It'd have to be a quick runthrough as you only are allowed a 20 minute supervised slot in the Lambeth Archives with the electoral registers. Maybe you can book multiple slots without much hassle, but it could be challenging - especially since we don't even know for certain that he lived in Kerrin Point, just that he's fixated on it and lived in the area. It's 20 minutes for the current electoral register, historic ones don't seem to require as much active supervision.

I think the firmest lead would be the Doncaster archives but they're in Doncaster and open at weird times, and it'd be time consuming to read every single issue of a newspaper from 2004, especially since it was a daily.
