Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

Did it? This shit has been brewing a long time.
I mean it's a game where you play as an Arab who goes around murdering people because he's so devoted to his religious cult based on an Islamic group that did the same, and the game came out in 2007 and the closest thing it has to minibosses is the 50 knights Templar you can kill.

I'm surprised it wasn't harder of a sell. They don't even really hide the religious themes either. OTOH this is probably why it took until AC2 for the game to really

Feel free to call me a fool when I lose it all.

Has anybody made a collage of sorts or comparisons where we see dev teams that worked on some of the greatest games in history of yesteryear (because let's be honest I don't think many if any games made in the last 10 years are making any top 10 of all time lists) vs dev teams in more recent history?
Here is what I found for classic development team photos.

I don't know if there is a compilation of post 2016 team photos anywhere, but I would expect a lot of them to look drastically different.

Christ is this sad to look at. A glimpse into how normal society used to be by and large. No dyed hair, no political sloganeering, modestly dressed women... REAL women, no bull rings. Just normal people who had passion for video games.

I know the conference call has been discussed but I didn't see this part called out yet
"In today's challenging market and with gamers expecting extraordinary experiences, delivering solid quality is no longer enough,"

So it's the GAMERS at fault for expecting better than mediocre experiences of AAA games with 100+ million dollar budgets before marketing costs. Upper management desperately needs to be gutted, and I don't know how the investors haven't gotten together to boot Guillemot yet.

You'd be surprised how absolutely stupid they are. Apparently one of Nintendo's investors asked why the head was talking about video games during one of their big conference calls. I can only assume he had no idea what products Nintendo made, because its an even dumber investor that doesn't care about his company's primary revenue chain. All Guillemot needs to do is throw out a ton of buzzwords to confuse them and deflect blame and they'll eat it up with a giant spoon and ask for seconds.

If I were Nintendo, i would have told that investor to commit seppuku in front of everyone on the call

So Skull and Bones, Outlaws, that shitty Avatar game and all the other flops, THEY are supposed to be "solid experiences", huh?
What do they call a mediocre one? Concord?

Like whats stopping any stock holder from forcing say Boeing or Ford from designing something deliberately meant to kill people and cratering the stock price so you can buy a majority and finally demand they start making good products again and reap the rewards.
fed agencies like the FAA, NTSB and a deceased Ralph Nader. Boeing's planes aren't designed to be unsafe theyre just built in a rush and coded by pajeets.
