I understand where you’re coming from on that one, but BTB Guy is somehow the least controversial part of the episode for me, mostly because I think it’s in character for Stolas to go for him. I know he’ll likely be evil, because of course he will we can‘t have roadblocks in the way of the endgame, but wouldn’t Stolas go for someone “Better than Blitzo” if he could? Look how fast he was to jump into bed with Blitzo. Then the guy brings the home wrecker to an outing with his daughter and neglects her to live a princess fantasy where he’s rescued by his knight in shining armor from danger, his words not mine, and after Stolas hears that Octavia hates this and he apologizes, he then goes on to neglect finding her to instead join Blitzo at a film studio, and leaves it to a hellhound he doesn’t know. Why wouldn’t he jump at someone new that caught his fancy? That was very in character for him IMO.

Funnily enough, I just ignore nearly everything except the montage and Blitzo talking with Verosika, minus the backdrop and everything involving Stolas, and the quality gets much better.

Hmmm, as someone who didn't watch the show, I am clueless on how Stool's Ass acts so I guess I was acting in character. How sad is that the audience is supposed to root for a... dipshit so to speak, and a guy with a heart of silver/copper (Blitzo) so to speak; while Stella kind of got the respect of many. Go figure! (Thank you for the info, I just watch essays and youtubers talking about it)

Take it from someone that kept up with it since season 1, season 1-3 is respectively Okay, gets good, keeps at it until the season 3 finale, and then it nosedives. into the ground. If you thought HB’s writing was bad, Oh boy, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

That’s gotta be my favorite and probably the best short so far. I’ve missed the hyperactive action sequences and comedic absurdity of the first season.

Language barrier jokes are rarely seen these days (mostly because someone will be offended). The thought of a client puts out a hit but doesn't speak English so the crew has to spend time figuring out what the mission is could be humorous in and of itself.

Seriously she should stick to this since she clearly is better at doing action comedy than anything with romance or drama.

Ngl, this one was actually pretty good. The best out of the four shorts thus far.

This was probably the first short that really emulated the energy of early season 1, this is kinda ideally what I envisioned the show would be back then, not the gay melodrama that exists today.

If only the rest of the show ended up like this, kinda does show it can be good if it focused on the strengths it had instead of diverging into gay fujo shit.

Also, I guess Blitzø can go down on others orally? I have no idea why a major plot point for the Antarctica short was Blitzø not knowing how to orally ple-- oh. That's right. Adam wrote that short and he has a fetish in degrading Moxxie.

I still can’t get over how bad his design is. I remember Vivzie saying something like “Oh he’s gonna be a nasty, ugly motherfucker!” And he looks like a damn Christmas tree. And all those overlapping details…looking at it for too long is actually hurting my eyes a little.

So a couple friends have been desperately trying to get me to watch Helluva Boss. They described it as "A funny show about demon hitmen"

I finally gave it a chance and popped over this weekend while they were watching an episode.

The entire episode was literally a gay, angsty drama about a Birdman and a Demon. They tried to tell me that I just didn't understand because "It's a long, major plot arc".

They then tried to show me painfully bad music videos featuring the Birdman singing about his gay angst so I could "Get it".

I now no longer trust these friends' judgemental about what shows to watch.
