The entire episode was literally a gay, angsty drama about a Birdman and a Demon. They tried to tell me that I just didn't understand because "It's a long, major plot arc".
Two things: They're absolutely retarded for having you watch the recent episodes with them when you haven't seen the first episodes. Also, they're wrong, it really is literally a gay, angsty drama about a birdman and a demon.

Apparently they've watched the whole series multiple times.
That's concerning. Personally, I really like Helluva Boss and even I've only seen it once. Are you sure your friends aren't homosexual and/or furries?

So a couple friends have been desperately trying to get me to watch Helluva Boss. They described it as "A funny show about demon hitmen"
I couldn't recommend the show now either. I'd say watch the pilot and the early episodes and bow out when it gets too annoying for you, because it only gets worse from there.
Also, they're wrong, it really is literally a gay, angsty drama about a birdman and a demon.
I liked the show where it was about demon hitmen, and didn't mind that there was also a gay romance between a birdman and a demon.

But then the whole demon hitmen thing stopped.

I don't know anything about this show, I just wanted to ask if that one hillbilly lady with the huge knockers appears in any more episodes. She has the only design I liked.
She makes a cameo appearance in Season 2 Episode 9 where she becomes a lesbian or some shit and lives with the girl who hired Blitzø to kill her in the first place.

The latest short pretty much confirms what I guessed earlier, Viv or someone on the writing team has clearly deduced that some people want to see goofy irreverent antics and not gay melodrama and have tooled the shorts to tap into this demand.
Why she had to create a separate series to deliver what the show originally promised instead of just delivering on the show's premise is beyond me.

Its especially ironic because helluva boss was supposed to be the goofy antics with no/less drama spinoff to hazbin hotel already. Now it needs their own comedy oriented spinoff bc the original became too dramatic.

Makes me wonder if Viv doesn't have enough creative freedom on Hazbin or something and felt forced to channel her fujo energies through HB.

Y'know, recently I got pointed it out that the HB shorts make Lucifer and Lilith look even worse than they already are. See, the penguins and the goats are clearly not normal animals, they are almost as bad as the actual hell beasts. Which implies that when Evil intruded into Eden, it did more than just destroy the Garden of Eden, it caused the fauna of Earth to devolve into these vicious creatures that we see in the shorts.

So not only did Adam and Eve lose their animal friends, they likely had to deal with them turning rabid and having to put them down for their own safety. Sheesh, no wonder Adam hates Lucifer so much.

On one hand, I'd like to believe Viv, in some shape or form, really does feel like her show's been dragging on for years—the fact all of what HB is now is just one whole Hallmark Channel special as a webseries. The fact people more than ever are losing interest. They can't take a privileged, LITERAL ROYALTY, completely entitled gay owl boy getting his way for the millionth time and tricking people into believing he's some "complex" character when he's just nothing but an emotionally unstable owl boy with familial issues that fans can most likely relate to. She's doing what other people complained about when they thought "HB being nothing but silly antics will make the show boring."—by making the show boring by making it be a ridiculous melodrama full of snot sniffling and heavy gaslighting.

And now, she's trying to gain those people back with these shorts. They're doing what many OG fans always thought the show would be. But this is all that we're getting. She knows that herself. She knows she has to continue The Stolas Show if she wants to continue having a rabid, equally unstable fanbase. I'm being very optimistic but when you see all these shorts and how each one seems to follow what the show was meant to be, you truly do start thinking and worrying if this is nothing but another gaslighting scene to trick people who were losing interest in HB or lost interest in it back into the show.

Drag them in before slapping them all in towards the latest HB episode, where there's a chance it may be a non-Stolas episode. Or, at least, an episode not focused on Stolas and his whiny antics and privileged demands.

I know I'm overanalyzing. I know. But when you think about Vivziepop for five seconds and know how she acts and how she treats her incredibly gullible fanbase, I mean... man, I can't help but throw in the rusty tinfoil hat. I'll still be enjoying the shorts, though. But recently I noticed how I tend to skip scenes more rather than fully look at them. I think my growing disinterest with the show has genuinely been affecting me recently. It's the only short where I've done that to, so I'm not too worried.

But yeah, staying cautiously optimistic about these shorts. Loving them but I know Viv's planning something.

It was that. Hasn’t been for a long time.

Yep pretty much. People want the original show’s premise and so now instead of just sticking to said premise, they have to create a separate entire show for it.

Both of these shows have a lot of potential.
Take them from Viv and give them to someone competent and you could make something of them.

I will note I hear your posts in Stella's voice.

I still can’t get over how bad his design is. I remember Vivzie saying something like “Oh he’s gonna be a nasty, ugly motherfucker!” And he looks like a damn Christmas tree. And all those overlapping details…looking at it for too long is actually hurting my eyes a little.
I think she wanted to make him a fat bastard type of character but you can't do that anymore since it's bodyshaming so she compromised by having him wear like 30 layers of clothing.

Seems a bit pointless since I’ve already seen people call her fatphobic for seemingly being allergic to drawing characters who aren’t some flavor of skinny twink.

She also kept saying that Adam is a fat fuck but he is also wearing layers of clothing.

I think the only fat characters she's drawn are just that random character who gave Alastor's backstory in Hazbin and that Weeb character.
