It happens all the time, but it's just worthy the media circus around the election time so Democrats can cry about "poor wittle pee oh seas" and Republicans can talk about securing the border (of Israel mostly)

You know your theoretical don't really matter because they straight up will never be achieved. "Oh yes we just make the jews disappear well that solves everything."

We're stuck with the jews, blacks, mexicans whatever, and protip Israel isn't going away, neither are the Palestinians, Iranians... Nothing much will change beyond Terrorist Groups getting new names and other shit.

And regardless if the Israel had never been established or had been placed in fucking Greenland no the US and Europe were most certainly going to fuck around in the Middle East. It holds nearly 50% of the world's oil reserves. The British knew this and saw the huge opportunity, so they sent TE Lawrence over there and the rest is history because NO FUCKING WAY was Europe going to let the Turks just have all that in their domain.

Could it all have been handled better, of course never going to pretend they were perfect. But without the doubt the Ottoman Empire was going to be dissolved and with it all the chaos and rapid fortunes were inevitable.

I am friends with people who served in Iraq and Afghanistan (sometimes both). Some of those guys got medals for valor in combat. Every single one of them said that the only way to make these countries into viable states is to completely crush and force them to play by our rules. We could give them a magic machine that turns sand into fresh water and these people would still fuck it up somehow.

There's been a few people bring up the possibility it'll be tied and congress will decide who wins. This is the result clown world deserves. I hope its like 350 vs 188 or something where the outcome isn't super close.

Mass illegal immigration is happening every day. You personally just hear more about it closer to election season because it manages to beach the info bubble that you live in.

The old-school religious right was completely counterproductive because its goal was always to grift, not to move culture in any real way. Some guy with a billowy hairdo going on TV and telling little old ladies that Pokemon was teaching devil worship to children so they would send him their social security checks. They were prescient on some things, like gay indoctrination in schools, but it was almost accidental and for everything they were right about there were many things they were pants-on-head retarded about.

The side-effect of this is that many kids growing up had their D&D books or video games taken away and burned by their parents who took one of the aforementioned morons seriously, and many more kids knew someone who this happened to. This bred in them a ferocious hatred for anything identified as "religious" or "traditional" and they filled the void with the dogmas of Reddit atheism and LGBTBBQ. The grifters didn't offer them a reason to adhere to Christianity or traditional American culture, just threats and fearmongering about the devil hiding under every rock.

The thing with the US is most of what held it together was a concept called implicity. It was “implied” you carried yourself in a certain way, and such. It’s why the Constitution was so broad in its recognition of rights. Culture was the cudgel to enforce civility.

Unfortunately, the need for explicity is desperate to reign in this evil development within the American ethos.
