In principle, I agree. But I've seen cases of desperate women who had to run to save their own lives out of self-preservation and while I would not do that myself, I understand them. Also, she was never very well, so if she just ran out of fear, it's likely also the case.

But, again, I think the most likely outcome of this situation is that she is already dead. Either he killed her or she died because this asshole abandoned her in the middle of nowhere like a dog.

Not following the case (I don't follow him on twitter, so nothing about him shows up on my timeline), but can't believe nobody has found her yet after all this time, holy molly.

If she had fled to her family, I would think the RCMP would have updated the status of her case. As it stands now, they still have her listed as missing on their website.

Yeah, he's had enough time to obsess over all the details and tie up any loose Ends. Unless he gets ridiculously cocky and mentions something that tips off the police to something tangible. I don't think they have anything to go on.

I think it was on the stream that Null sniped. JF talked about remodeling the home and pulling up the carpets or something. That's something you want to talk about when you're girlfriend goes missing, not suspicious at all.

Definitely do what you can to spread awareness. Her, or whatever's left of her, needs to be found and the family needs some closure. Frenchie's slurring otherwise should be ignored.

There's a FB group dedicated to JF's murder of Elora Patoine (technically, her "disappearance"). It gets very little activity, just some neighbors commenting that they feel sorry for her and the murdered mother's children, and that JF's a bizarre and creepy neighbor.

Here's the FB page for the RCMP. It's about as awful as you'd expect - endless posts of LGBTQ+ initiatives, "First Women to XYZ" posts, "First Muslim to XYZ" posts....lightly interspersed with random posts of competent white Boomers, presumably months from retirement or death of old age, solving this-or-that crime. But they're the end of the line, and everybody knows it.

I don't know all the police tricks (and have 0 confidence RCMP has the competence or willpower to play such a trick), but that's the only shot, as all forensic evidence has long been destroyed, deleted, and incinerated. If the police have a Mossad-style "honeytrap" stings, I'd definitely try those. But I doubt those exist, at least officially.

The best thing would be for Elora's family - some big brothers, cousins, uncles - to just kidnap JF. beat the living shit out of him, break his legs, and make him a cripple for the rest of his life. One thing police have often turned a blind-eye to is family vengeance (assuming you're not a retard who does it in a courtroom). The evidence isn't necessarily all gone -- if you've ever seen an episode of Forensic Files, you know that no matter how careful killers think they are, DNA evidence splashes around everywhere. A single bone fragment, blood droplet, piece of brain tissue hidden in a little crack or crevice somewhere. Of course, those are all things that are incredibly easy to overlook. Another thing is the shitloads of CCTV footage from absolutely everywhere. There's probably dozens of videos of JF lugging around suspicious looking bags and case from place to place. For every rat you see, there's 20 you don't.

I highly doubt JF is Dexter fucking Morgan and managed to completely cover his tracks. Something, somewhere will give him away if the RCMP care enough to look. If they fumble this case, however, then JF will get away with it for sure.
