I still have no idea what Kamala means by "unburdened by what has been."

Not being tied down to the past. You could take it as "not letting our mistakes define us and weigh us down so we can go into a better future," or "don't let shit from yesterday ruin your vibes today." It's really open and vague. It lines up with 'We will not go back.'

It seems to just be her general philosophy. Which is fine. She should just say it in a way that's more digestible to people who aren't writingpilled.

It honestly isn't a bad line. The problem is how she uses it. She just tacks it on to the end of sentences without regard for context. If used at the end of more poignant responses it could legitimately be good.

Now, you and I would disagree with several parts of this framing. But it would be -effective- if used correctly. Tagging it at the end of emotional appeals would help make her a person to her watchers and then the repeated line becomes stuck in memory. Its inspirational; if used correctly. I have seen her use it correctly exactly twice.

Yes! Though very quiet effects. From what I have heard multiple government agencies, most prominently the ATF and EPA, have shelved several planned expansions of their scope because they felt it would be too hard to defend. Also, almost every agency has begun a review and preplanned defense of their current expansions which has largely tied their hands from doing anything stupid for a while. A lot of them are looking at Trump's planned accountability look with dread and are trying to pre-emptively get ahead of it.

Its the kind of results I hoped for. Quiet, nothing fancy enough or fun enough to post here, but more or less utterly paralyzing to the monster that is bureaucracy. There hasn't been a wave of lawsuits yet though thats expected. First the lawyers want to make sure their case is as ironclad as the defense the agencies are making. Second, they are waiting until Trump is hopefully in office. If Trump wins it removes a massive source of defense from the agencies because Trump has signaled he would not allow the DOJ to aid them.
