The things that are possible when you don't have the limiting and unrealistic notion of "nation-building" being forced by unaware politicians back home. Militaries can actually accomplish their goals in a reasonable time frame, who would have thought? If only America were as evil as everybody says it is, we would have been done in Afghanistan years ago.

If only the British government didn't make a bunch of retarded border decisions with France in the 1900s based on even stupider assumptions about the area, the world wouldn't have to constantly keep their eyes on the middle east for radical fuckwits. You should have just let the Ottomans keep the Saudis and every other goatherder tribe on a leash but no, you had to send Lawrence to give them a bunch of guns and training like the Mujahideen in the 80s. He got at least 30 seconds of staring at that drone. I hope the bastard realized he fucked up, that he would die amongst the ruins of his people. That he chose violence instead of peace and in doing so, caused so much destruction and death for his people.

For all the children he has led to “martyrdom”, for all the parents who have cried at their child’s grave, and for all those that he has led down this path of darkness and hate, I hope he begs God for forgiveness.

The problem with this is the Jewish vote is concentrated in states that aren't battle grounds (New York and California), and while as hilarious as it would be, Jews aren't going to flip those states for Republicans either now or in a decade. Whereas the Muslim vote is located in said states (Michigan, Arizona, and Georgia) and could be the deciding factor, and that's not mentioning all the non-Muslim pro-Palestinian types who also vote. Most Pro-Israel types already vote right, and losing what's of the left-leaning pro-Israel types only matters if it costs elections. Otherwise its nothing.

But the question is if this shift is a product of western perceptions (and actions) of the region or an organic movement. The region has had three major wars in the past two decades that has fundamentally reshaped the politics of it. Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. How many hardliners (the weirdos) went off to fight the Americans in Iraq or Afghanistan and never came back? How many did the same for Syria and never came back? The current situation in the region is very dependent on the continued pressure to westernize by America. If that stops, or can't be enforced what happens?

Reminds me of when Bin Laden was killed. I was watching a Mets/Phillies game and I remember Daniel Murphy was at the plate and the crowd started chanting U-S-A! I got a text from my mom right after and I just remember the pure joy I felt.

It was also the first time I remember being irritated by my lefty friends for scolding me openly celebrating a mass murderer's death. Sowed the seeds for my abject hatred of their kind I think.

Good for the Jews, enjoy this while it lasts.
