I prefer doing something fun slower over doing something boring faster. I've built all the ultimates except gley because I couldn't be bothered, and this was around release before they made everything easier to get. The only thing you get faster is XP for weapons which is mostly just a useless number past a certain points. I just think there's more to a game with build-crafting than seeing pointless numbers go up while another play does everything for you. My main was Viessa, but there was no way to keep up with a bunny despite my non-existent cooldowns, so all my builds performed the same as no build while there was a bunny nearby.

This kind of retarded unbalanced mess is what kills a player base. Eventually people are gonna get sick of holding W or watching another bunny hold W for them and the game will just fizzle out, which it seems to have done already.

it's more that after a certain point there's just less to do, especially if you unlocked most stuff. you can only kill death stalker for 3 weeks so much, so you log in for your chores and queue research, till the next update. some people are fine with that, most are just gonna play the next FOTM.

as for slow, nothing's stopping you from doing it solo or build a non-bunny group. can I clear 400% with my ajax? sure, but it will be three times as long.
invasions were initially solo (and still are if you want), that's more content where you have to shoot stuff if you don't use bunny yourself. good chunk of them the bunny was either constantly dead, left early or someone didn't even bring one, meaning there was still plenty to shoot.
that's why it's such a strange complaint, sure there were the runs where bunnys just ran off, the other half didn't even have any or it didn't really matter. maybe they were all FOTM players and left, or switched to freyna now that she's the hot new thing.

Season 2 dropped today, a ton of good QoL updates, new features, and new areas. Including a new pet that follows you that auto loots & disassembled items.

But yeah the dev's have gone above and beyond with this listening to people and giving out stuff so if the retards can't figure this one out thats on them. Have to decide between getting Esiemo or Blair.

blair is easy enough to farm, 20% each piece but on normal (but gives you AM on top). esiemo is 6% from outposts.
with the new target stuff and shapers should be pretty fast either way.
