See that shit pisses me off. We just took a crew of guys up there last week to volunteer to help with the search and clean up and they wouldn't even let us through, turned us back, even though we had 3 trucks loaded with supplies and our own equipment, care packages (food, clean water, clean clothes, those camping propane stoves, kids toys and stuff) shit some of the guys are or have experience as first responders, and a few of us went through Katrina. Said they weren't letting anyone through even though we asked be assigned to teams they already had there, I understand they have to be careful about looters and bad actors but we weren't wanting to just do our own thing, we went to volunteer and we brought a load of our own stuff.
FEMA is a fucking mess because its stuffed with DEI hires like this fucking Pooner that were hired to fill quotas not on performance.
Theres people that have fucking lost everything and who are most likely gonna get fucked on insurance and the response is a fucking joke. They shouldn't be turning back warm bodies that are willing to get in the shit and help.

I am so, so excited by the possibility of hooking up & cruising without disclosing. The affirmation of being seen as a man without the qualifiers of cis or trans — or maybe of being seen the way I want to be seen, the way I see myself, without dysphoria — is so thrilling.
