I'm pretty sure the most you'll get from Nintendo and GF are mails. PMD has always been developed by Chunsoft (Now Spike Chunsoft) as far as I know and I don't think there's a lot of interest for that material. 3DS games aside there is this tool called "SkyTemple" which more or less works as a game engine that allows you to edit every cutscene, text, tile, sprite and event in PMD explorers of sky, so there's not a whole lot of interest in getting the source code for PMD games.
I don't know what the guard models are based on, but that shield looks like it rips a texture from Erdrick's Shield from Dragon Quest 9. The dragons are meant to be Charizard, I do wonder the context of what these screenshots entail.

Speaking of, seems the 3D PMD titles have the same stiff lack of animation as the newer core gaems.

What makes them not adding in the Battle Tower is DLC is set in a competitive Pokemon School with a Ranking System people can go up and down in as is solely focuses on double battles.
Is that really that interesting. There’s only about 20 characters in each game of legal age and that don’t seem the mons type.
2 of the only few that are really memorable. And 1 of them because they were a player character and got all the good outfits. Also the anime. And the thing is I don’t even think it is character design issue. I think they just have gery unmemorable names and character quirks.
