My parents were convinced (rightfully) that if Cruz ran for President in 2016 he'd get the nomination and lose handily. There was a blog post by Bob the Angry Flower, I think, that talked about the differences between Cruz and Trump (both negative), admitting that Trump had a "sticky magnetism" to him while Cruz would hold up a baby to block a bullet.

What I don't get is why Democratic Party is so keen to hold onto the presidency when the next 4-year term will definitely see the arrival of the long overdue global depression.

You have to remember what happen during covid. That single event was the largest wealth transfer in human history. They salivate at the idea that they get to be in control when it happens. They think they get to turn the rest of us into slaves (not even serfs), but literal slaves. And as others have pointed out, we are supposed to just be coming off eight years of Hillary Clinton. They're behind, and they're as greedy as ever. They're arrogant enough to think they can control it, us and the rest of the world. Even if I was a democrat, I'd still hate them for that level of arrogance. Fuck them.

It still blows my mind that Dems can't understand that codifying abortion laws is better than having it rest on a sketchy Supreme Court decision that can be (obviously) overturned quite easily by a later Court.

If something can be codified into law, it can be decodified just as easily. The single best solution they have is a constitutional amendment, but that doesn't mean A) it can't be overturned with another, or B) can't be bypassed, ignored (see the rest of them). Abortion has never been more popular than right now. and they still don't have the votes, and I firmly believe they never will.

I love the ad, and I agree with RFK Jr., but I have to point out one issue, there were WMDs in Iraq. We know there were WMDs in Iraq because Saddam used them to gas Kurds back in 1988. The Halabja Massacre. Whether or not that justified the Iraq war is another thing, and I personally am very sympathetic to the "let sand-niggers kill sand-niggers, they aren't worth the lives of one American" argument. It's my belief that the current administration, almost certainly Kamala, is receiving kickbacks from Mexican cartels and that is a major factor in the current border situation.

It’s 51 D / 49 R right now. WV is a guaranteed flip which makes it 50/50. Tester in MT is almost certainly out, that makes it majority R. Even if the Dems somehow keep OH, PA, MI and WI, and Cruz loses, that’s 50/50 with Vance as the tiebreaker. But Cruz survived in 2018 without Trump on the ticket. I am confident The Snek will survive another cycle, but he needs a plan come 2028. Supreme Court, perhaps?
