I don't believe Nick would consider Kayla leaving and taking the kids Hell. He'd revel in the freedom from responsibility and his only concern would be about the financial implications. If mummy and daddy offered Kayla a "one and done" financial package which satisfied his financial obligations, I think he'd be ecstatic.

I do wonder whether he'd be stupid enough to marry April without a prenup, though.

It's nothing hard to explain. Nick got out of his second round of rehab, got out of his parents house and is back in the balldo bunker, and now he has no one tard wrangling him into shutting up or not getting smashed on whiskey. Nick has almost 2 months of seething to work through. He is desperate to regain control of the narrative, so what better to do than grab April's phone (like any good cult leader he knows the password) and talk to himself whilst sperging at da haterz and nerdz? Nothing was worse for Nick than these past 2 months of getting clowned on and at best only being able to paypig his pedo pal Melton.
