So I've been trying to figure out how April, Nick, Kayla, and Aaron attracted each other in the first place. There's a dynamic in play. I really think it's just the old psychology axiom "toxic people attract toxic people" Nick is most certainly on the covert/vulnerable side of NPD by his pattern of behaviors, and observed traits. He may be pathetic and weak compared to a grandiose, or malignant narc, but he's still an alpha in the Clusterfuck B personality disorder spectrum. April's behavior screams crazy Borderline with a sprinkle of HPD (Histrionic Personality Disorder) Kayla actually is probably a mirror image, that's probably why they were kindred spirits, and ended up with a manipulative narc like Nick.
Narcs like Nick attract women with BPD like flies to shit because Borderlines can't self regulate their emotions. They have no core sense of self. They have to have a favorite person regulate, and who better to regulate them than a manipulative narcissist like Nick? Nick is April's "FP" now, she appears to have a limerence issue with the men in her life. She loves them until something bad happens, then she dichotomously splits them black. I wouldn't be shocked if April hoovers one of those exes again when she splits on Nick too. Now Kayla seems to self soothe, and regulate herself through substance abuse. Also she's likely been long since been trauma bonded to Nick. This is why you see women putting up with years of mental and physical abuse, unable to get away from a narcissist. They start to confuse abuse with love, and can't leave. Kids complicate matters too. Oh well, sucks to be her.
I guarantee both these toxic cupcakes have extreme abandonment issues which keep them in this sad repetition compulsion cycle. Nick's an ugly, impotent loser, but he's "their" loser if that makes sense.
Now Aaron Imholte is similar to Nick, with some high narcissistic traits, but since he has shown some contrition I believe he is more Borderline tilted than a textbook covert NPD. 50% of all Borderlines are male. Still toxic as shit, but he's the lesser of two evils here. Nick is incapable of taking accountability, and has little to no empathy for anyone. He could also have traits of a sociopath (ASPD) The way he talked about the family dog is a big red flag. Clearly both of these pathetic excuses for men with deep subconscious internal shame gravitate to mentally broken women to make them feel good.
Narcissists can't be with anyone who's equal, it has to be someone beneath them, because they're petty and jealous.
Nick is a narcissist 100%, but think of him more as a turtle without his protective shell like a normal narcissist who has a false self defense shield to deflect attacks. The slightest prick of Nick's skin makes him bleed out emotionally (lashes out on social media at anyone who disparages him)
In summary he's nothing more than a passive aggressive, silver spooned faggot with a severe mental illness that his mother Celeste created back when little Nicky was still in diapers. I really wonder if Nick was one of those nerds still being breast fed by mommy until he was way past the acceptable age types?
Maybe a close relative touched his pee pee in his crib? Maybe mommy Celeste was emotionally absent? An alcoholic? Overbearing? Narcissists are not born, they are created through childhood trauma, and usually one or both parents are toxic pieces of shit too. Sadly this pattern often repeats, so there's a good chance at least some of his poor kids will be disordered like him too.
