Japan General Thread - Japan-related news, happenings and thoughts

Niggers are doing faggot ass dances for Le Tik Tok at shrines and temples around Japan. This is in addition to the regular terrorizing that they're also doing on trains for likes on social media.

All fucking niggers must fucking hang.
They finally got rid off that JohnnySomali Mongoloid, just to have the next batch of niggers arrive. Can't catch a break and it's only gonna get worse.

Lol

Japan high court rules same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional
A Japanese high court ruled Wednesday that the country's lack of legal recognition for same-sex marriage is unconstitutional but upheld a lower court ruling rejecting plaintiffs' claim for damages.

The ruling by the Tokyo High Court was issued after the Tokyo District Court determined in 2022 that the same-sex marriage ban is in a "state of unconstitutionality." The term used by the lower court, while stopping short of declaring the ban unconstitutional, is seen as a call for the Diet to take action on the issue.

Just like last time, it's a politicized court that gives a verdict but the court's decision has no power or direct consequence whatsoever.
To make a new constitutional interpretation a verdict from the supreme court would be necessary, and just like had happened in the US the Japanese supreme court appear to voluntarily not take cases relating to homosexuals because they wait for the public opinion to lean enough towards giving them what they want before doing so.

Yes we're probably a decade or two away from homosexuals having the right to have custody/adoption of children and rape them endlessly. The G7 is really pushing the Japs for allowing it.

I used to follow this Paper.Plane guy on Instagram, some black dude that teaches English. But for some reason he never sat right with me. Is it the fact that he's an English teacher? I'm officially weary of them, especially ones that look under 50. Maybe cuz he's also black. I'd like to know an average Josuke's take on this. I'm probably just being autistic.

Most Japanese media is owned by Japanese companies, but it’s true that Japanese media runs more left than the general populace, with Fuji TV being more conservative and Asahi being more liberal with the other major networks being somewhere in between.
How leftist do they get?
About as left as our Democratic party.
So any SJW nonsense like "cultural appropriation" or "microaggressions" yet?

Can you try to explain at least one example?
Most of it comes down to fearmongering of anything that is perceived as overly nationalistic or far right. Using certain words, kanji, or styles in Japanese will get you labeled as an Imperialist, as if you were to write in cursive or speak in a West Country British accent you’d be labeled as some kind of fascist in America. There are also ‘watchdogs’ in the media that hunt for and talk about anti-Korean, anti-Chinese, and other racist sentiments, e.g. ‘This website criticizes Korean immigrants, so scary!’ Similar to America, it’s overblown.

The left is fractured and in disarray in Japan because Japan has mostly protected its industry from foreign interest (most of the things Japanese buy in Japan is Japanese). However they do have a strong cultural impact through media and probably the three lefty issues most accepted by typical Japanese are gay rights, feminism, and climate change. LGBT is pushed hard by media, most women go to women’s colleges and learn how bad Japanese men are, and obviously Japan is going to be sympathetic to anything related to the anti-nuclear movement which includes all the environmental and climate change movements.

This is probably power level but man I can't stand when people assume I am learning Japanese cuz of anime. I don't watch much anime at all, but I like the culture, history, pop culture, etc. I know Japan isn't perfect but I still appreciate them even with the shit parts. Wish I could visit but I doubt they'll happen anytime soon.
Same here. I actually started learning Japanese simply becuase I find the language interesting. It's an entirely different web of mysteries to discover and understand (agglutination, honorific system, kanjis, etc) totally different from my mother tongue. I never tell weebs that I'm learning the language because they're cringe as fuck and I hate them all. Can't even listen to the hypercringe cadence and language used in anime, makes my ears bleed tbh. Imagine weeboos visiting Japan and trying to talk like that to people irl...

Bro a decade ago I got scolded for using 看護婦 (kangofu) instead of 看護師 (kangoshi), because the latest feminist trend was to disappear words where the content of the kanjis used insinuated that a certain role or profession was for a specific sex. It's to "degender" everything the same way you're not supposed to say "manpower", "mankind", or "cleaning lady" anymore.
That stuff isn't new, but it's not that immediately visible in media so you don't hear about it except if you live here and pay attention to the language used. The same way if you haven't been speaking Japanese for a long time you don't see that they changed the common use of 妊婦 (pregnant woman) to 妊娠中の方 (person in state of pregnancy). They try really hard to make 婦 disappear. You probably won't ever hear 婦警 except if you watch a movie from the 80's.

And don't get me started on the use of foreign words to say things in a more politically correct even though they have words for that in Japanese as well. The next time I get called my wife's パートナー (partner) instead of husband (because 主人 insinuates a hierarchy between two people) by some retarded bureaucrat I might become imperialist and invoke the emperor's spirit to smite her on the spot.

Of course those that lived during the inorganic linguistic transition think it's gay and cringe, but the forced change isn't for them, it's for the kids that will never hear the old ways and will think the new one is normal and how things are.
I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of zoomer-Americans think that singular "they" is a real thing and was always used, even though you can't find it before the year 2010.

The grammatically correct way -- at least before Current Year -- of sex "gender" neutral is male "pronouns", but that is "sexist" now. One can see an example in original Star Trek, where the intro goes "where no man has gone before" -- which is later changed to "where no one has gone before", of course. Wasn't aware Japan is going there.

Remember when SJWs "called out" animu fanservice, as "a sexist relic that needs to go"? Since SJWs have infiltrated credit card companies, they are now pushing that Western "woke" worldview on Japanese producers to censor stuff at the source. So instead of the old way of producing stuff one way and then it's localized another way, it could now be made with Twitter freaks "global audiences" in mind. Whether or not you like animu fanservice, it is an example of SJWs pushing the "woke" view on the rest of the world.

(or so I heard anyway)

In that Japanese Wikipedia article on "cultural appropriation", it says the concept of "cultural appropriation" hardly exists in Japan, but now there are "movements to introduce the concept of cultural appropriation in Japan"... hopefully SJWs fail at trying to grift people into thinking intangible "culture" itself as physical stuff.
