Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

I'll check later.
Apparently they added some of the options to the apparel page instead, but you have to scroll down to see them.

The new progression system looks way too complicated.
It's a bit more convoluted than necessary, but not that bad. If there's anything you're stuck on feel free to shoot me a PM so we don't take over the thread entirely. I did a shitton of testing during PTS and have played a bunch today, so I have a fairly decent grasp of the new stuff if you need any help figuring bits out.

LMFAO

Absolute insanity

Should've just released it. It's not like the sales are gonna be any better in February when you're in direct competition with Monster Hunter for the normies, and Kingdom Come Deliverance II for the history geeks.
According to another poster its due to how Ubisoft releases its financial reports. They don't want this giant steaming turd taking an even bigger shit on their end-of-year earnings.

I realize that, but you're just delaying the inevitable. Maybe the investors would've coped better if Ubisoft explained the low sales by saying they still hadn't released on Steam yet instead of releasing it everywhere at the same time. Seems even the cattle are avoiding this one. Then again, if you had told me 10 years ago the cattle would've let a Star Wars game bomb, I would've called you an idiot.

Yeah, but that's really the best Ubisoft can do, and then maybe come up with something during 2025 to try and cushion the blow. They're completely out of realistic options and they know it.

The last resort is the Capcom option: remakes and reboots to cash in on nostalgia. I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to announce a remake of the Prince of Persia trilogy or AC1.

They announced the remake of sands of time back in 2020 with a supposed release date of January 2021, it looked like shit and has been in development hell since, because it looked like a Bollywood movie and it turned out Ubisoft India fucked the entire project up so Ubisoft Montreal has spent the past couple of years re-doing everything after attempting to salvage it in India failed. Of course if it had successfully launched they would have continued with sequels, but we're talking about yet another mismanaged ubisoft project that's probably cost another couple hundred million dollars.

Experience the classic tale that redefined action-adventure gaming in The Sands of Time Remake, the first full-scale remake of Prince of Persia by Ubisoft. Available January 21, 2021.
They actually believed that shit was going to be ready to go in 3 months.

And that's not even the worst one, that award goes to Beyond Good and Evil 2. I think it's outdone duke nukem forever by now. There's probably more projects wasting fuckloads of money at Ubisoft that just haven't been made public yet. Damn near a decade of incompetence has come back all at once to bite them in the ass, again.

I really wish we could see more of these classic platforming games. I miss Banjo Kazooie so much bros 😭
you're not looking in the right direction https://store.steampowered.com/sale/nextfest?tab=22#SaleSection_98053

It gets even funnier because they've also said there will be less free stuff on the season pass (a bold claim given literally 40+ spaces of the current one are straight up blank) and there won't be any apparel events in the season either because they think the shitty rewards they've added to stuff like the seasonal journey are enough free stuff for the peons.
meanwhile tfd just added an even bigger coomer edit of an existing skin for free (granted the skin was a shop only to begin with, but still...) :story:

but it was already obvious the way they were going when they nerfed event payouts and fucking lied about it.

Whoever this player is, he has played "Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles" so much, that he has reached a level we thought unreachable. He's actually able to kill our admins. And he grows stronger every day.

He has played "Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles" nearly every hour of every day for the past year and a half. Gentlemen, we are dealing with someone here who... has absolutely no life.

I wondered why Farah absolutely had to have an authentic Indian accent while the Prince of Persia got to keep his stuffy British one.
