Wow that’s quite a find.
- goes to a boot camp, then tries to interview at google. No experience. Obviously no technical competence (for those who don’t know, a boot camp is a few days learning a language syntax- they are universally considered bullshit. If you really cared, you would learn all that on your own). She has balls I guess.
- so incompetent that no other companies will hire her either. To put into perspective how desperate companies are to hire black women, I once worked somewhere that has two openings- a DB programmer/DBA and a full-stack Java dev. A black woman applied and they wanted her so bad they created a position for her doing excel. Then still had to hire two technically competent people.
If this redditor can’t get hired she must be a total disaster.
“Finally understanding Big O” she says. Wow. Big O is a measure of how the difficulty of a problem changes as the size of the problem changes. So for example, if I ask you to find a name in a phone book, it takes you some amount of time (in the real world you’d know things like average seek time). Now if I double the size of the phone book, how much longer does it take you? That’s big-O. That’s first year undergraduate stuff. That’s why you don’t go to a bootcamp.
