I had a minor interest in playing the game just to experience it for myself (not paying for it of course), yet a few videos I watched showcasing the dialogue and writing are so bad it killed that morbid curiosity. It's remarkable how bad a lot of modern writing really is, and it's not just video games that suffer... In fact, I actually went back and replayed Soul Reaver 1+2 during October, and it was impressive just how good the writing and voice acting still is, especially for a game made 20+ years ago. Even if a lot of modern gaming is plagued by faggot retards, there's still plenty of classics to replay without all the "progressive" bullshit.

Howe is a pretty generic villain, getting to kill his son in City Elf and being caught up in the machinations of your brother in Dwarf Noble make for more compelling narrative slants, personally, since all you really get to do is kill Howe regardless of what you do.
