They are coming for you lol, retards:
Now this is fun.
The original point of the song, and
The Wall as a whole, was to tell the story of someone so utterly losing his ability to connect with his fellow humans that it breaks him. In this song, Pink's collapse into despair in "Comfortably Numb" has completed, and he starts thinking of himself as a demagogue, ready to lead the excited crowds in purging the lesser beings from the world. As we go through "Run Like Hell", and later "Waiting for the Worms", we see him further spiral, until "Stop!" where he has his are-we-the-baddies moment.
It's somewhat depressing that so many of Trump's opponents and detractors think they're Pink's victims, and don't realize they've become Pink. Sadly, many of them will never have that critical moment of self-awareness, will fail to pull up, and will self destruct spectacularly. None of them will reach "The Trial", and order themselves to tear down their walls and start connecting to their fellow humans again.
Sorry for the music sperging in the
Captain Planet 2024 Election thread. Pink Floyd's
The Wall is one of my favorite albums. If you're not familiar with it, or have only heard the radio hits, go listen to the whole thing, in order. It's a trip. Listen to the album first, before watching the movie, of which the video
@Bland Crumbs posted is an excerpt. You'll get more out of the movie if you've listened to the whole album.
