All acquisition rumors are garbage. The more studios they buy, the more the regulatory bodies come down on them, which is more time and money they don't have.
They aren't rushing out to buy Sega, Valve, and now Take Two. It's absolute baloney.

Damn I miss how easy it was to clean old 360 controllers. Just found a bunch of them for like a dollar each but as usual they were pretty grimy. Taking apart these things and cleaning them is almost too simple.

The new Series S/X and PS5 controllers in comparison suck ass to take apart and clean.

New digital Xbox Series X model has empty space where disc drive was. That's basically what Xbox has become, hollow.

All of your old games will be on the Cloud as well, cycled out between services like shows on Netflix/Hulu/Paramount/Disney+ until people lose hosting rights and are no longer legally playable.

I own a Series X, mostly for games I cannot fit on my PC,it does its job, Game Pass is decent too as you can download to both PC and Xbox, its not a replacement for buying games though

they can try to pry the physical storage and backups out of my cold dead hands. besides, not everything released today is garbage, just the AAAA slop mostly, which is all about nextgen because MUH GRAPHIX and shit made by shit devs requiring a 5090 to run at console tier 900p upscaled and fake frames to appear smooth...

You forgot about the part where they're also requiring the Intel i9-9999999K that's pozz-loaded with built-in telemetry and AI processing bullshit on the chip and is such a power-hungry bitch that even absolute zero is not enough to prevent your computer from kickstarting a neighborhood-wide fire just from idling on your desktop.

I present you the product manager at XBOX, and now you know why games cost $200,000,000+ to make.

Handheld gaming has changed since the 90s-00s. Portable devices are more capable now than ever. If Xbox does do a handheld, I suspect it'll be another Xbox Series S situation where games have to be made in tandem for both devices.

Like Steam Deck, but worse.
It will probably be a portable Game Pass machine and nothing more. It won't run local game software it will just stream your game from some type of cloud gaming service run by Microsoft. And you won't be able to stream games from your own Xbox like the Vita used to be able to do with the Playstation 3. You will have to be a Game Pass subscriber to use the device at all like a modern smartphone service plan.

I don't know why it didn't happen sooner. They had one console that sold well out of four, and that was heavily padded by the RRoD sufferers having to buy second and third 360s. MS is usually quick to axe stuff that doesn't do well out of the gate.

The fact that microsoft is listed on nintendo's switch 2 developer support is also telling
