Elon Musk is a dumbass and got lil bro'd in a battery factory and got told that the cybertruck will never be succesful.
I am not even remotely close to being an electrical engineer, but from some cursory reading, it’s known that cylindrical batteries are heavier and more complex, thus having more fail points. However, they offer more fail-safes in worst-case scenarios because of the hardshell. The problem with electric vehicles is always the weight of the battery and the vehicle itself; using one of the heaviest battery types will reduce the performance and battery capacity of the vehicle. Elon might have gotten spooked by Teslas catching fire and, in his brilliance, decided to switch battery types without fully considering the consequences for the entire vehicle.

Speaking of the Grok training thing, in a case that I am 100% sure of, that announcement had made LOTS of Japanese artists, speaking nearly every other one I ran into either: 1. brand their stuff with massive watermarks 2. run to bluesky or 3. poison their images with Glaze or Nightshade.

The problem is the watermarks or lowering the quality of images in general only affect normal lora trainers, but not Elon. It's just going to harm normal people in the long run and it's depressing to see. It's not going to stop elon from using your artwork or anything else you post to to train grok unless you glaze or nightshade every photo you post and you can't poison text to begin with.
