There isn't going to be a stalled conflict. Russia has nothing to gain and everything to lose from a frozen conflict, and they've made it clear that they don't believe the US is capable of making agreements that will be honored (they're correct to do so as well). Putin is either going to get what he wants, or he is going to simply take it with the military. Even with the ATACMS green light, the US cannot deploy to Ukraine in any way that matters (and if they try anyway the entire world ends in a nuclear holocaust).

A good peace deal would be one that simply accepted that Russian victory is a fait accompli and gives them what they want without the need for further fighting and bloodshed. They aren't going to accept an agreement that relies on the goodwill of the President. Even if they thought Trump was super trustworthy and would never violate any agreements he signed, Trump won't be president forever - and the non-zero chance of an establishment neocon/neolib gaining the presidency afterwards means that Russia can't afford to leave this conflict stalled or frozen.

2. The severity of the strikes would be enough for Russia to target NATO command infrastructures back.

Another thing that popped in my head is, isn't the west being a little too kind letting Russia know Ukraine is being supplied with long range missiles? Like you are giving time for the Russians to set up their air defenses a certain way and letting them be on the lookout for increased surveillance in finding where those long-range missiles will be supplied in Ukraine to immediately strike them before they strike you.

I think you could have maximized damage to Russia being silent with the missile transfers. These 2 months will probably be nothing.
