This thread feels abandoned. The mods must be out on holiday. Can't blame them.
I am browsing this thread a lot less now that the election is over. It feels like a Trump dicksucking contest between clips of the MSM being owned and occasional updates on what Trump is doing regarding his cabinet, maybe an occasional clip of Dark Brandon or whatever.

Well, right now things are in a state of limbo,
True. We're in the bickering stage. Things will get more interesting once Trump takes office and things start happening.

I am waiting for this all to play out. I am highly suspicious of both the MSM and anyone in a position of authority at the same time, and both currently exist in tension with one another, so keeping up with this thread is exhausting.

I am waiting to see how much Trump actually does, or if his ideas actually work out, given the amount of opposition he faces at every single turn. Something I am worried about is how he treats this presidency -- is he going to fall victim to his ego and treat this as a victory lap, or is he going to buckle down and get shit done? Some of his picks seem extremely bizarre, as people have said in this thread, he might be rewarding loyalty more than merit. That's something that worries me.

The only option available to me right now is to buckle myself in to Mr. Bones wild ride and put my hands up. Not much else to do but have fun.

The funny part is that Americans don't care anymore.
They don't have to, it's why we elect people to take care of that for us. I'm pretty sure a lot of people who voted for Trump didn't give a shit about politics but kinda had to because politics were thrusted upon their daily lives. People voted, now they can go back to what they were doing. It's how it should be in a functioning government, at least.

The Democrats are now embracing being the party of blowing limbs off in foreign countries. This is what nearly half the country voted for. These are the promoters of tolerance and justice and environmentalism, salting the earth and putting your children into debt to pay for it.

Don't worry, your grandchildren will be put into debt by the aid project to de-mine the region in 20 years. Just look at it as a jobs project for all those minesweepers and reconstructive surgeons.

The Russians have made Ukraine lousy with Mines already. And unlike American mines, they aren't designed to become inert after a few years. Which actually helps prevent the thing you are bitching about here as Ukraine has had to use old Soviet stock APMs.

Rewarding merit in political accomplishment would put us in the unfortunate pickle of the first term--Trump is a TERRIBLE judge of merit and talent, a TERRIBLE judge of personnel, because he is ultimately a TERRIBLE manager of experienced, political operators. I think Trump does not have a truly 'political' bone in his body, he does not share an inch of his makeup with the lawyer-politician type that thinks about and practices politics.

The idea that you could stab Trump in the back to get extra power in Trumpworld is kind of unthinkable, and this is generally true in any founder-run company. It is very untrue in the federal government, where whatever you want you can most easily get over the dead body of the guy in front of you, and you owe your loyalty to impersonal systems which promote you and keep your job safe.

If Chunk wants for example Medicare for all? Well I could actually see Trump supporting that to take a big fat stinking dump on Obamacare.
Medicare for All would be a disaster. Deporting illegals and cutting the bureaucracy will actually meaningfully lower healthcare costs without doubling the budget.

De-mining and UXO disposal is the kind of aid I have no problem with the gov't providing to foreign countries. It's just a shame that it will probably take years for the NGO Industrial Complex to apply a fraction of the funding into actual man-hours after getting fat on the rest.

Trump just needs to repurpose the nigger whipper 5000 to get rid of the mines

Gonna WW2 tank sperg here, but it's a crazy story how they discovered how to clear mines like this: they would have M4 Sherman companies with the Nigger Whipper 4000 advance with the 92nd Infantry Division from the rear echelon. The 92nd was of course an all-black division. When the 92nd first deployed in the Italian Campaign, the soldiers thereof had the luck of nearly zero casualties caused by enemy mining efforts. Caucasoid units didn't fair as well. It was at first thought that the Axis had simply neglected to mine the paths the 92nd used to advance, but of course the M4 Shermans with the Nigger Whipper 4000s incidentally exploded previously undiscovered mines. It was discovered that members of the 92nd had such a knack for three-point verticals that they practically flew over enemy minefields.

After that, M4 Shermans with Nigger Whippers were used as ad-hoc de-mining vehicles for non-Black units. They didn't call them Nigger Whippers in that case, since they weren't used for whipping niggers. Also, the Nigger Whipper 5000 was developed in 1945, but wasn't really used until the Korean War if you want to get technical.

But @Pascal's Wagie, will they ever make a Nigger Whipper 6000??

Considering how easy most other Japanese businesses fold when the globo homo applies pressure to them
It surprises me that they where allowed to air this on live television.
Perhaps its ok because its not condeming them of anything, simply pointing out at their political and economical influence as the reason for the US undying support of Israel.
I’ll chime in on this. People don’t really care what Japan thinks. Very few people can understand Japanese, and the people who can are either Japanese or are sympathetic to Japanese culture and preserving Japanese nationality. And you have to learn about Japanese culture if you want to be fluent in the language (unlike most languages), so that indoctrination is built in.

You are probably referring to something like video game developers self-censoring for the Western market, but that’s precisely because the business is coming from the West. Japanese media for Japanese consumption is very much unfiltered, and attempts of leashing Japan in with lobbyists and NGOs has always ended in failure.

Japan is an example of a country that industrialized itself in spite of Western aid/colonization, unlike say South Korea, which is a lot more Westernized in many ways. There aren’t really any other countries like that. Thailand is barely getting to that point, while Singapore has sort of ‘cleansed’ itself of its British influence, to the point that Singapore barely resembles Britain aside from its language (cf. India). China is kind of going in that direction, too, thanks to its isolation.

It’s the national equivalent of fuck you money.
