Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

Whoever this player is, he has played "Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles" so much, that he has reached a level we thought unreachable. He's actually able to kill our admins. And he grows stronger every day.

He has played "Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles" nearly every hour of every day for the past year and a half. Gentlemen, we are dealing with someone here who... has absolutely no life.

You hear about the Assassin's Creed Shadows leaks coming from Reddit? They're going to add Seasonal Battle Passes, and Ubisoft is scrubbing down anyone leaking these information.

Some images are saved before Ubisoft took them down, like the Loading Room of the Animus Hub where you (unfortunately) play as Yasuke, and the Isu Coins logo (similar to the Helix Credits logo).

The 91 Metacritic thing is such a weird spin. That producer started on Brotherhood, no fucking wonder you're not sure, but that was then, and this is now. If anything, a lot of peeps on social who have Shadows as their first game were hyped as fuck, until everything hit. It's those who were around before who are more likely to look back on the production of the previous games and think "yeah, this is shit."

Ubisoft officially denied any GaaS style paid cosmetics.

The Division 2 is continuing it's unbroken streak of shitting the bed, with the Div 2 x Chernobyl 2 crossover event. While we knew ingame apparel events were gone there was some small hope that at least 1 of the 4 outfits would be free from a project or something, but nope all paid. Even more hilariously:
1)The outfits are all kinda crap
2)Unlike normal cosmetics which are made up of several different item slots (hat/mask/gloves/shirt/pants/boots etc) these are all 1pc outfits meaning you can't even mix and match
3)It costs £30 for just 4 outfits, STALKER 2 itself is only £50.

The new version of the manhunt is not very fun to play. It's another excuse to make less content.

Yeah, I saw that. You think that they would keep the poorly-made items for the pleb to unlock by playing but no...
The only good STALKER 2 outfit is the hazmat one, but the textures are ugly.

Any one believe that the massive update coming to Star Wars Outlaws is gonna help them out? Seems like Ubisoft is just desperate to carry this limping brand over the finish line with a sunk cost fallacy.

Some highlights:
  • Headshots are now "more rewarding"
  • Health and armor stats revamped to make various enemy types "more distinct"
  • Enemies have new weak points
  • Enemies have new defeat animations and hit reactions
  • Every weapon has had recoil, fire rate, ammo, and accuracy stats tweak
  • Some weapons, like the Ashiga ABR-2 Zato Blaster Rifle, have had their shooting patterns completely redesigned
  • The Power module now lets you shoot through cover
  • The Ion module now stuns enemies longer
  • You no longer drop scavenged weapons while climbing
  • You can now choose which shoulder the camera favors

They seem to be counting on the Steam release but I doubt that people will buy the game, no matter how many times they patch it. They can't fix the characters or the story, it's too late for that.

Some of those sound like generic patch stuff, other (like the weapon dropping and shoulder choosing) are almost certainly the result of all the bad feedback they got.

It's basically exactly the same as the old manhunts except instead of doing them once a month, you do them once a week, or if you're me you wait and do them all at the end because why bother doing anything else? The one good thing about them is they've exposed how much of the playerbase is literally retarded. Seriously, go look at the division subreddit after reset and see the amount of retards posting that they can't figure out those simple ass riddles, nevermind the fact there's usually a post right away with the answers that they somehow miss.

The real problems with this season is the modifiers, more specifically that bullshit damage reflect (although infinite shock ammo enemies runs a close second), and The Journey. I got up to like Journey 4 and basically gave up, killing hundreds of specific enemies using specific modifiers is just the absolute worst kind of busywork.

Also I didn't notice this until recently but apparently the base version of Div 2 now comes with WoNY (although you can still buy it separately for some reason). Why the fuck then did they just put all that work into changing the level 40 endgame for people who don't have WoNY, and completely fucking the game up in the process, instead of just giving everyone WoNY, and then lowering the price of the basegame + WoNY combo going forward?

I didn't even know they were doing a patch, so I'm gonna go with not helpful. Honestly this all seems like nice QoL stuff, except the game is fundamentally still shit, so what's the point?

It's funny that a bunch of what they're doing there is stuff that existed in The Division 1, 8 years ago. How the fuck they didn't just take that formula and slap a Star Wars coat of paint on it and make absolute bank I do not know. Consider both Division games set records and had 10+million plus sales, and then combine that with the Star Wa\rs audience at large that was, and still to a degree is, and they should have been straight printing money.

How hard is it for a dev to offline patch a game like this? Serious question.
Depends how the game was built. Does it just call back to a server or does the server actually host unique things. Does the game have NPC AI for racers or require other humans. Would a third party server host be allowable for console makers like Sony and MS, or could it be viewed as a security risk by them?

These Crew faggots are suing just to proove a point but I don't think they are going to like the point that gets proven.

Release day on Steam for Star Wars: Outlaws:

Not looking so hot, even with the 1.4 Patch almost completely removing all required stealth. Gonna have to discount it even more to around $30 or less to probably see any traction.
bro was right

already discounted after a little while lets see if it drops :optimistic: any further
