I was gonna edit stuff about yiik into the post intially after remembering it literally named itself that because it was trying to ape y2k era game stuff while setting itself in that period but unfortunately making characters look and act like 2010s-2020s era reddit/twitter posters on top of several other issues.

Too late, already happened. They lump y2k and fruitiger aero as one thing despite them being noticeably different when you look at them long enough.

I'm thankful I was only introduced to Signalis by a foreign friend of mine who's like a weird Hong Kong nationalist that's really into airsoft and guns.

But it definitely reeks of yurifaggery with so much of the same tropes it actually drags the tone and story down a little.

I'm pretty sure if the game was made with a male protagonist and he has a female love interest or the reverse (fem. protag + guy love interest) the game wouldn't be nearly as popular with the troon crowd.

Because fundamentally it's within the same realm as games like Silent Hill and Dead Space but the protagonist is a lesbian so troons are gonna flock to that.

The real question is: Is this game going to be Trooncore?

This just made me realize I never looked into Signalis before and always assumed it was some kind of space sim.

The player character is a tranime so probably. The main dev team listed on the website doesn't seem to have any trannies but I only skimmed it and it's got all the other hallmarks like aping 90's graphics (the domain name for the website is even 90s.graphics) and there's a Discord linked on the Steam store page. I wish I could have higher hopes but it looks like it was over before it even began. Sad!

I remember the dev posting in the 8chan AGDG way back when. Not a complete refutation of troonness, but skews away from the stink ditch.

The ultrakill fag I know was a little shocked to say the least when I showed him that official twitter post about the plug mod. Speaking of which, another friend stumbled upon this plug mod for Lethal Company: https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company/p/LethalPlugging/LethalVibrations/.
Currently sitting at 83441 downloads. I'm sure it really adds to the co-op gameplay.

Also had Steam recently recommend me the game ATLYSS (https://kiseff.itch.io/atlyss) that just released on the platform. Given the style and the sexualized furry avatars / npcs from the thumbnails, seems like more slop for the pile.
Which is kind of a shame because I've been craving some sort of new cooperative RPG to play with my group.

Probably a little different. The same overall but different int hat they probably wouldn't be cooming over the blue fox alien in the same way. Alsoo one of the biggest infamous things abut that game is how the plot got fucked and the mechanics ended up getting removed or halfbaked finished and rushed just to make it into a star fox game but that's unrelated to the coomer furries.

It's made by a furfag but he seems to have enough restraint to keep the faggotry out of the game, remember that the ultrakill buttplug mod is official. LC is also way cheaper than UK (UK is like 25$ and the kikes increase the price every update while only lowering it by like 10% on sales) UK has been in early access since 2020 and it's still not done while LC has only been e.a. for a year and there's way more content. It doesn't seem to have as much of a cancerous circlejerk fanbase since it's incredibly mainstream and I could go on and on comparing the two.

You can basically compare any other big indie game to ultrakill and UK ends up looking like shit

LC is fine but the playerbase is insufferable. Phasmophobia is way better though more restricted and requires more coordination.

As someone who's put a fair amount of time into Phasmo, it doesn't necessarily require THAT much coordination. You can do nearly 100% of the investigating yourself (and, IME, often do because things will often boil down to a "too many cooks in the kitchen" situation), it's just that things get set up slightly faster on a good run when everybody's taking care of different things at the start.
