All three of those are tarred with the Progressive stank, I think after Harris and the face stomp Trump gave her the DNC will lean more centrist then far left.

True they could double down on the IdPol and drive the knife all the way in but I think the Mo-Dems will win out in the civil war as the average Democrat is probably as tired of this woke shit as the rest of us.

The truth is the DNC can pretty much pick any non offending Dem Pol and use the MSM and social media to turn them into another Obama. Remember Harris really didn't come that far from winning and she was absolutely shit tier. The MSM drones and propagandists were almost enough to carry her over the finish line but Trump had God on his side this time...and about 10,000 lawyers doing poll watch

I don’t entirely disagree… but I think this does ignore one potential issue on the DNC’s side. Does the MSM still have enough pull to weave another Obama from the aether? Fucking MSNBC is up for sale isn’t it, so while I’m sure they’d love things to go this way I’m a lot less certain that they’ll manage to pull it off this time.

That's a very, very good question

All we can do it wait and see.

I think the MSM will re-tool and not be as in your face, who are you going to believe us or your lying eyes, propaganda as in the last 12 years but I don't think they will go back to being the 4th Estate anytime soon. MSM Propaganda is just too damn useful to the elites of our society to totally discard so easily. They will re-tool and re-examine the new avenues of information dissemination that have come around and try to bend them to thier cause but the elites are a conservative force (in the literal sense as they love the status quo) and hence tend to not adjust to new ideas as fast as the underclasses. They want everything to stay the same to ensure their power stays within their class and so can get caught out when society advances too quickly.

I personally think there will be a major focus on getting both social media and the Internet under their thumb. They might have passed off 2016 as nothing more then a fluke but 2024 showed them the true power of memes and the nu-media. Musk buying Twitter could have indeed saved us from WW3 and Joe fucking Rogan of all people may have been as instrumental in a mere 3 hours. No I think we will see a renewed assault on freedoms of speech and the internet itself.

I think those elites have learned their lesson; this new fangeled interweb thingie is something they cannot let be outside of their control any longer as it allows too much power to the masses to pass along "disinforamtio". And of course all power brokers hate freedom of speech as it allows people to commit wrong think. So I would also foresee a crackdown under the guise of hate speech laws that are cropping up all over the world at an alarming rate.

This is a fucking weird ass time IHMO and a scary one. We will either get a new frontier of freedom for all mankind or we will spend the next 200 years under the thumb of a technocratic dystopia. Which will happen? Beat the hell out of me.

I hope he gets that digital bill of rights shit done. It would fuck Reddit and Bluesky right now. And kill most of the MSMs attempts at what you were talking about. I have my own fears over it considering he said reform section 230. Partly because i would not want Josh, to be kneecaped in operating this forum. But i am hoping on the fact that this is a "small website" and they would only bother going after the big social media's (Youtube,Reddit,X,Bluesky, Tik Tok). This forum may be safe from Trumps clean out of san fran big tech leftists.
They would have to have manual reviews to remove content, court orders and various other shit to get conservatives silenced. It would also take away the advertiser boycott. As even if the advertisers pull out they could not legally silence supress or ban anyone without court orders.

I think the biggest thing that may have hurt her presidential aspirations was that weird ass doritos commercial for Kamala. After that they seemed to start pushing that Massachusetts governor in her place, but I could be wrong on that.

If the orange fatass doesn’t pardoned all the j6ers on day one a lot of people gonna be disappointed including me. And people will no longer trust or care for him, cause if he did that to the only group of people who truly cared about him and supported him all the way and what does it say about the remaining supporters.

He was one of the founders of PayPal, so he certainly does have some technical abilities and intelligence, but he's not personally working on rocket designs. However, he is smart enough to know good ideas when he sees them and to hire people who are capable of executing on those good ideas to produce successes for his companies. That's why SpaceX is doing so well when others fail. He also has a remarkable vision to see what having some capabilities would enable. Commercial space flight isn't an attractive investment because there are so few customers and it relies a lot of securing government contracts, which are rife with favoritism and corruption and can be hard to break into. Musk had the vision to realize that he could make Starlink which has millions of potential customers and also creates business for SpaceX at the same time.

I'll give Steve Jobs similar credit for being a visionary who understood what people really wanted. My grandparents both have iPads that they can use to video chat with great grandkids and other family members. Neither had ever used a computer before. Jobs understood that there were millions of customers that would never buy or use a Mac and what they needed was something incredibly simple that even people who had never used a computer would be able to pick up and get used to with minimal effort. Tablets and smartphones would look very different if Jobs didn't tell his engineers that what they had made wasn't good enough and go back and try again.

Neither Musk or Jobs are going to make something that solves a problem for all people, but no one has to do that to be successful. That both men were able to do this multiple times during their careers when so many people struggle to have a single hit, let alone more than one, does speak to them having some special quality. It's not something that just anyone can emulate either and a lot of people who try to do so just fall flat on their faces.
