Alhamdulillah, the Combine will be wiped from the face of the Earth.

It would unironically be interesting to hear how the hell the Combine actually dealt with the Middle East other than some throwaway explanation of "overrun by superior technology and weaponry in a 7 hour long global war".

Well look in my opinion Entropy Zero 2 was GOTY last year. My potato computer could run it, 3650 is basically a Build engine character and Wilson was neat. Yeah sure has the reddit-tier portal humor but my standards aren't that high.

PS if you want a cool similar HL1 experience play Hazard Team's Field Intensity.

Someone in this thread mentioned the OBM team imploding.

According to redditors about half of the team developing it (11 people ?) left due to a single person that is a co-creator of the project.

He made models for the project along with working on some maps from what I can see on his Artstation: Link
The reason to why half of the team is gone is due to "allegedly" EGG posting homophobic, transphobic etc. etc social media posts.
The team voted how to handle this situation and they gave him a suspension instead of booting him off and letting him "change his ways". The 11 did not like this decision and left the team (along with the person making the OST who I assume is LONOfilms).
In the above reddit thread there is a dead link to a document file, I couldn't download it even with the Wayback.

From what I've dug from twitter and Discord :
-several months ago, EGG/EvilGoodGuy one of the co-founders/co-leaders of OBM has been banned from the team, because of controversial posts/contents.
-Absolutly no one has posted on Discord anything else besides what's seen here or on Twitter (to sum up : just "skyboxes" has been posted for more than 1 year), which means there is absolutly no activity displayed about OBM, from anyone.
And that's it.

Fat chance in hell this mode is ever releasing, its been in devlopment since the lates 2000s and they really have nothing substantial to show for it it'll probably just get quietly cancelled/ they'll be another big row and the remaining team will splinter.

He might just turn Steam into an auto parts store, or sell exclusively racing games. Hell, Half-Life 3 could be cancelled and all the assets to be used for a Half-Life theme kart racing game

in a way i feel like valve waited too long adding workshop support because now everyone is just uploading shit they found on gamebanana or some shit. Plus the good mods that do get uploaded are either broken/ not uploaded by original author :roll:

They would last about 30 seconds because the Middle East Alluakubars won't last against any force that doesn't put up with the "OH WE ARE HIDING BEHIND CIVILIANS YOU CAN"T SHOT US" shit.

Do we even see any arabs in the games at all? For all we know they could've just very easily made this meme reality.

Yeah, but if not for Steam user Tighty-Whitey who knows how long we would have to wait for some of these old, janky and fun mods and campaigns?

You are right though. I archived them all (or at least most of them) for when they inevitably get pulled down.
