Mega Rad Gun Thread

I'll reitarate, I think the Benelli Nova is better currently for quality. If you eventually want a good and affordable semi, Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol
You're likely right, its itallian after all, but right now that is out of my price range. The Mossberg 88 just has to shoot 12 gauge. I could check the used rack of my LGS for something nicer I guess, used shotties are usually cheap there.

You'll get mixed answers. You can find a Howa 1500 (modern Japanese bolt action) for under your budget minus an optic. PSA has quite a few on sale currently.
I have a Howa 1500 in .308, solid rifle that consistently shoots sub-MOA with factory match ammo. Varmint barrel however, so I wouldn't want to go traipsing through the woods with it.

I wonder how much effort it took adapt a Magpul AR handguard to fit with an AK. Also, "We have SR-1 at home"

Monstrous 14.5mm abomination, Based on a KPV receiver and might be using a 12.7mm NSV Receiver as a tripod mount.

First and only VZ.58 Bullpup conversion I've ever seen in Idlib. I don't know what's going on with the new sight system

Sure, make an already big and heavy gun even bigger and heavier. They should have had this in Death Wish 3

a gun range, like the one in GTA5. I can't go into the boonies where I currently live.
Depending on the ranges near you, they might have some pretty specific requirements if they are an indoor place. Some places require total metal jacket bullets to reduce lead, some don't allow 5.56 because it can damage the bullet trap, some places don't allow you to shoot quickly.

So maybe find a range nearby, check the rules, and let that direct your purchase. You probably can't go wrong taking a PCC into a range, lots of ranges only want pistol caliber rounds anyway!

i’ll call around and ask my local ranges, thank you for the information

Wait until you find out about stick welders, hose clamps, JB weld, and random screws or nails
Ahh, the fun of buying a used gun and finding out that someone used a piece of nail instead of a pin in the trigger mechanism. Or buying a used Mosin to find out that the boomer fudd who installed the shit-ass optics rail on it drilled one of the holes right into the chamber and filled it with JB weld.

In the motorcycle community those are usually referred to as DSPO - dipshit previous owner. Like the guy who rewired the tail lights on my bike, but it didn't work, so I wired it back to factory and it worked again.

That JB weld will just fireform into the tapped threads bro, it'l be fine!

(probably not)

I traded it to a gunsmith who wanted a try at welding it up. He insisted. Haven't seen how it turned out, but he said he was able to close the hole partially from the top. Supposedly shoots and extracts okay but I still wouldn't trust that thing with brass case.

My 20" heavy barrel loves the shit out of M118LR and will happily punch tiny groups all day long with it.

Maybe I am just suffering from the Mandela effect, but weren't there a ton of turkshit shotgun importers and "manufacturers" who stole the names of defunct German companies or German words? My buddy and I are discussing it and neither of us are able to find anything other than Spandau and Panzer arms.

I was thinking the same thing and explaining that to my father, but couldn't think of any examples besides Panzer as well. He doesn't know too much about guns but looks at his PSA emails and all that, and I usually have to talk him out of thinks like a .22 magnum revolver or 10mm handgun.

Stoeger is a big one.
They ended up partnering with Berreta to survive the great Turkshit wars.
