He isn't a leftist, but he is very much a tool of the establishment (and MIC). He is impartial so long as it doesn't go against that. He is an affable narrator with deep knowledge of US mechanized infantry operations at the BDE level and down, some cybersecurity stuff, basic intel analysis, and lobbying. On every thing else he's just some dude who is willing to do research and his opinions shouldn't carry any more weight than that.
If McBeth does well on those, he's fine. A key angle to the war is Russia's social media misinfo and hacking efforts, and he has an expertise on that, sufficient for a government contract. A government contractor has to be a bit of a tool if he speaks openly on matters of government policy. Most commenters are just people who do research, who might work in an adjacent field or in the defense industry itself. No one's opinion should be a gotcha. Even, and particularly, those at the heart of this war, might be disinclined to talk the bald truth.
Former EU Commission José Manuel Barroso said Putin told him he didn't want Ukraine to exist as an independent state. He said he told him his goals during the twenty five meetings he had with him during his tenure.
Former President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso said Putin once described Ukraine as an ‘artificial country created by the CIA and by the European Commission’.
In an exclusive interview for Euronews, Barroso who was president from 2004 – 2014 said Putin told him that ‘his goal was to stop Ukraine from becoming a fully independent state. During his tenure he met with Putin twenty-five times according to his official records.
He said Putin’s intention was for Ukraine to stay within the Kremlin’s orbit as a satellite state similar to Belarus.
“I know because I spoke with him about this”, he said.......

That's unsurprising and well known. If Ukraine wasn't going to be a poverty stricken puppet ruled by Yanukovich, it would be reduced to submission.
Another side effect of the war.
Since Russians embarassed themselves, Turkey gathered every last anti-Asad faction and now is about to assault Aleppo, knowing the ziggers' teeth are broken and Asad's only supporter is a drunk weakling. So if you want to see Alawites beheaded, women enslaved and auctioned, watch Damascus carefully for the next month's gore and rape videos.
Putin and Assad made their beds with rebels within 7km of central Aleppo. Putin could've kept more resources in Syria and Assad could've maybe not complacently assumed the rebels wouldn't take advantage of weakness. Perhaps Ukraine (like in Africa) is lending help and obviously Turkey is since they feed, clothe and supply most of these rebels. These aren't Islamic State forces so while atrocities cannot be discounted or really avoided by these 'takfiri rebel mercenaries', they probably won't be at a dramatic level. Iran is a long term Assad ally and these rebels killed an IRGC general in heavy fighting. (

original link) Putin is stretched thin so a major deterioration of an long time Russia and Soviet ally might be the consequence. His other solid gain of Georgia has seen demonstrations in both the Russian puppet statelets (20%) and Georgian Dream ruled remainder (80%). If Assad stumbles that would be something notable given Russian and Iran aid plus Alawite cunning sufficed to head off the last flareup. Putin is distracted and his resources stretched then, but so is the rest of the world to an extent (obviously the West could commit can commit more, but unlike them Putin probably is aware there's a window with his name on its if the Ukraine gamble fails).
Professor Gerdes covers the issues noted above and in other posts (probably spending too much time or giving too much emphasis to Gen Kellog's visit last year), but I just want to highlight at the end Putin's genius remarks that when the currency falls (then 30 something to 40 something to the dollar), Russia gets more rubles, so more money for the state budget. Hmmm.
Kalergi Plan and purposefully designed, well-organized torment of European natives are very, very real facts. And no, you dont need RussoChinese net trolls for that.
Dumbvoters: you are all niggerlovers and everything that will happen to you because of niggerification is well deserved.
Kalergi Plan (so offensive to the zeitgeist that Wikipedia is full throated 'Coudenhove-Kalergi Conspiracy, is a debunked far-right, antisemitic, white genocide conspiracy theory') might have a notable degree of truth, I think a bigger factor is that our herd of nigger cattle politicians want a lumpenproletariat population without any widespread identification working like ants for a lower (or a far harder to sustain) living standard. It means a small 'far right' can be knocked around by Moslems hordes and most are too busy to lift their head up and think. It also means these landlords can look to ever rising rents.
