I should have known this shitdick had a thread. I can't seem to escape his dumb ass. Pardon my derailment with the sole intention of dropping some firsthand experience that should confirm some things.
He was my roommate until I asked him to GTFO because of destroyed property and his disgusting way of living in squalor. Can verify he was a roommate with mods in the form of FB messenger chat history, but I doubt I can retrieve any photos taken for the landlord off the 12+ year old phone that took them. I will be somewhat vague to avoid doxing myself.
I really wish more of his previous coworkers would call his ass out for taking credit for things he never did, but honestly, he was never important enough for people to check up on him as time went on because he was so awful. I can answer basic questions in the interest of enrichment if anyone has them, but it's not like we were ever close friends for me to know much more than what I already wrote. If you've ever met an actual narcissist, that's how he behaves

Thor was my coworker for about a year at Blizzard. He was the only QA who demanded a 3-display setup because he "needed it for coding," but it was actually a dedicated display for Reddit and YouTube. He would sit idle in test clients in another display while fucking around and posting on various forums with the third. He frankly didn't do anything but soak a paycheck and didn't know shit about fuck.
During a charity event on campus, he participated in a League of Legends tournament. He was profanely screaming at his teammates across the office about how shitty they were for not being able to buy to counter the other team. This was a casual charity event, not some actual ranked shit, and these were people he worked with on his team. I'm actually shocked he wasn't written up for this, but only one manager was present and locked in his office at the time.
It's kind of weird because Joeyray is a friend of mine. I have respect for his dad because he really is one of the oldest employees at Blizzard (the bar in StarCraft is named after him) and was never problematic like so many of the other old guard (J Allen in particular). Pathetically, this was Thor's shield against getting written up. I wasn't the only one who noticed that he not only didn't do any work, but he knew basically nothing about testing as a general practice and the game itself. Management would remark that they simply couldn't do anything about it but move him from team to team.
Thor became my roommate because his dad kicked him out of the house, and I happened to be in need of someone to take over a room that another person fell through on. I already observed some of this shit, but I was in a bit of a bind and figured it would be fine since we were on the same overtime schedule. I really should have known that if Joeyray didn't want him around, it was best to keep max distance.
Thor's girlfriend at the time, Nicole, was quite a respectable girl who really knew her shit at work, so I thought this would be some indication that maybe he's not a total wasteman in his personal life. Nope. From the first days after moving in, the kitchen was a literal pigsty. All pans would be constantly used and left dirty, usually with food remnants intact, dishes and utensils everywhere, sink full, filth all over the stove and counters. I also had a new patent leather chair that his "totally non-destructive" cat started scratching to hell the same day he moved in, and he only ever offered to tape up the chair. There was no correction to make the cat scratch anything but the chair (no scratcher was provided, no supervision in the common area, nothing). He even tried to gaslight me by insisting the chair was already scratched up (0 pets touched that apartment before he moved in). I asked that he replace the $100 chair since all surfaces were destroyed, and he insisted taping it was fine. He didn't do either.
He was EXTREMELY into EVE Online, and would regularly stay up half the night being loud on voice chat with his friends while playing. This apartment didn't have thin walls and there were full closets separating the rooms, but I could hear every single word said until he shut down to get a few hours of sleep before work the next day. For those of you wondering, YES, his natural voice is shrill compared to whatever he's using to stream with. It's entirely possible his voice deepened slightly after having COVID like a few others I know, but definitely not that dramatic of a deepening and the lingering effects tend to be more hoarse than deep timbre changes.
His general fuckery led me to further investigate the living situation overall a couple of weeks in. He never put a shower curtain up in his bathroom, so the floor was dirty and spotty from pooling water. The bathroom countertop that took up a whole wall was covered in what I can only assume is ash, bong accoutrement, and other detritus. Random shit was all over the place.
His bedroom door was left cracked open, so I looked inside. Again, shit everywhere. Trash, clothes, bags, and dishes everywhere. The fucking WALLS were smeared with I don't fucking know--cum or snot or both. If this was only about a month of damage, I couldn't afford to keep this guy around. I used the cat situation as a gentle way to ask him to remove himself as soon as possible since we were still working together, claiming that he wasn't honest about the damage his cat would do, and that clearly pissed him off.
After he left the apartment, he continued being a shitter at work. We had discovered some vulnerabilities on the D3 RMAH to the tune of several millions of dollars from the sales of duped gold and items. I want to stress that Thor had no involvement in the identification or patching of the exploit. This issue had two effects:
First, Blizzard donated the money from the dupe to charity. Second, Thor used the incident to seemingly secure himself an unofficial position as an exploit tester. He was still in QA as an analyst.
The time after this is hazy since he was no longer a report on a team related to mine. He did announce to the floor that he eventually helped discover a client vulnerability, and that seemed to lead to a more firm role for exploit testing as a QA Engineer. QA Engineers by title were not actual engineers, rather, they were analysts capable of automation tasks and assorted scripting. Whatever he says about training security staff and half the other shit on his LinkedIn is being wildly misrepresented.
Other random things I haven't seen mentioned is that his shitty food habits and lack of cleanliness lead to some sort of bowel disorder which he was claiming to be "possible cancer." To my knowledge, it was never actually cancer, and he used it as a shocking event for sympathy to warn others about how their habits can catch up to them, all for asspats on Facebook during his HeAlTh JoUrNeY.
He went to AGS, sure, but likely only because one of the QA/Platform Services heads at Blizzard went to AGS and was poaching his ass off to rip people away from Blizzard as soon as the studio opened. Riot and AGS stripped the place of literally anyone experienced looking for an out.
This is where this fuckwit finally falls off the face of the Earth for me until I started seeing his smug face all over social media. It chaps my ass that people like him got this far by doing no work and lying to everyone. Not like that's a pearl-clutching revelation or unique circumstances. His resume is fanfiction, and everyone in tech/gaming who knows better thinks he's a joke.

Wanted to ask if he did any of the social engineering stuff at Blizzard? That and if you knew any of the stuff he did at DEFCON and how often he was being transferred to teams and getting written up? A guy like that (working in a position that an AI or an indian could theoretically take) could not have been doing much and likely was slacking off all the time.

I think there has to be an AI at this point that can zip through a video and give a quick analysis of content with terms or things you're looking for and timestamps them so you can easily find and confirm them.
If not, we need one. Just for the sake of sanity and time.

You're probably best off finding an audio transcriber and starting from there. Vibe works pretty well with a lot of tweaking (crack), and runs locally without an account or central server. I don't have a good computer, so it'd take me about 5 hours of chugging to transcribe a 10 hour video. You could probably get another AI to quickly summarize the text once you have it, or at least skim it for anything interesting. I use it when I want to skim a video and can't stand the guy's voice or cadence or vocal frryyyy.

Just as an example, here's a summary using llama 3.2 with the default settings in vibe for the "adpocolypse" video. It took about 16 minutes to transcribe the hour-long video on my shitbox.
