I did know about the demotion thing, but it makes sense. 2 established veterans and 'locker room leaders' are part of a disasterpiece match with 2 new guys from the other company? Not hard to figure out who was going to be punished/facing retribution. (Related: Daniel Puder.)

I heard Clark was part of it, but they had a falling out at some point. I could be wrong though.
