Saban is worse than Ken Penders at abusing copyright laws. Somehow, Saban has more legal ownership of Samurai Pizza Cats than the original Japanese creators. Not sure about the legal ownership after both the Disney and Hasbro buyouts, but him JEWING the Japanese creators along with the rights of Power Rangers is baffling.

I hate Saban's guts. What he did was morally wrong. But Saban got everything he wanted.
He replaced them with scabs and the kids didn't seem to care much. Ratings didn't drop and the toys still sold.

All I see is two washed up "actors" from an Americanized version of a Japanese show trying to relive the past and gain even a small amount of relevancy. I haven't thought about the Power Rangers since the 90's and mid 2000's. I mean the whole show was just a cheap cheesy chop job of a Japanese show. They literally just cut and edited in frames from the Japanese version. The fight scenes were done using the clips from the Japanese show. The only time you saw the American "actors" was when they weren't wearing the Power Ranger suits and when they had the helmets off.

I heard the blue ranger was actually gay IRL and killed himself.

I watched this yesterday, and now the algorithm thinks I'm really into power rangers and is sending me all these videos of spaz's going on and on about how these two are lying or something.

The rangers that left don't really get along with those that stayed especially the red and green ranger. And to a lesser extent red with the other rangers who stayed. The yellow ranger seems to have gotten along well with everyone but she's gone now. So there is some dispute over why and how exactly the rangers who stayed came to that point. What isn't in dispute as far as I know is the overarching point that haim seriously underpaid them a cartoonishly small pittance and mistreated them and that the first 3 left over the pay disputes.

The show was janky AF I'll admit but that isn't the actors fault. They are absolutely in the right to still be sore about how awfully Saban treated them. And its not like they've been talking about it incessantly for 30 years.

I do know David Yost and Amy Jo Johnson are very close. She saved him from killing himself. He was close with Thuy Trang as well and even attended her funeral. (A local news crew covering the story approached him and you can clearly see he's upset)

I think they're all friends with Walter, but I wouldn't be surprised if they all distanced themselves from Austin. They all posted tributes when Jason died, Austin included, which I was surprised about because I think Jason is the one in the infamous video where he called David a fag at the commissary. After the original film I basically tuned out because there's so many series now. And the cast is mostly based in Australia it seems.

I still remember the awkward scene where they left the show, shot in silhouette from a distance with awkward voiceover "we're going to an international conference, bye" and the in the movie there's this Chinese guy as the black ranger. What a tragedy this was.
