I think of it like this. All I want to do at work when I see my fat black coworker who doesn't do anything except sit around and drink all the coffee a lazy nigger who deserves the whip. I'm already considered the conservative guy at the office and it's in a place that generally doesn't care. I am polite and nod my head and tell them "no ma'am I sure do love them darkies" during the brief run-ins I have with HR.

I imagine if you're at Bioware or Obsidian its probably a trillion times more performative for the sake of keeping their jobs.

The skin peeling off the skeleton or what I assume is the skin looks like DEI game colors which is off putting to me.
But seeing as trannies pretty much mutilate their bodies in horrible ways it may be a fitting touch.

Are western game devs incapable of not being political 24/7? How can you even focus on your work when the political cannibalism is constantly on?

I am surprised anyone has any faith in Obsidian after Outer Worlds. They suckered me into to buying it day one as I expected it to have roughly on par with New Vegas (I was greatly mistaken). Now with zero talent left and the devs screeching about politics 24/7 Obsidian will shatter like it's namesake once this game bombs.

There are no consequences from the studio for abhorrent behavior like that. I mean they have a right to free speech but they shouldn't be allowed to use the product they are working on as part of a revenge plot against people they don't like.

It doesn't bother me that they hate Musk and Grummz because both are nasty pieces of shit and even if I were a raging fantard they still have the right to hate them. But they should do so in private and not during work hours and not use the game they want to sell as a weapon.

That's why it takes them 4 or 5 years to make a video game. They spend too much time in the coloring book room seeting and dilating about Blumpf and Elon Musk.
The Microsoft corporate structure have embraced that ideology, it is their work culture.

It should be pointed out that discord screenshots are ridiculously easy to forge. You can ask resident schizo retard and piss fetishist @Itsnatsutalbott all about that, or you could if he wasn't permanently banned for posting an uncensored chest of a 14 year old girl he wants the farms to murder for daring to call him a pedophile. If you follow his thread you will see that even someone with profound retardation like him can easily forge discord screenshots.
My point is, don't take this at face value, it could be a fake. Definitely believable, at least for me. I can imagine that one of the reasons Outer Worlds is so barren of content is because the devs spend so much time crying about Trump, chuds and other things on their discord or twitter, during the development of the game. It's starting to become clear that Tim Cain was one of the few people working on it that was actually capable of creating a decent RPG, and the situation has only gotten worse with Avowed.
That said, it would be pretty funny if there was a rat Elon Musk(rat) npc. That sounds like a funny easter egg, until you realize they're doing it out of hatred for him, a drumpf like caricature if you will. I guess Obsidian just really hates Africans, which let's be honest, who doesn't?

They really dropped the ball on marketing. The game is more akin to Fallout 1 in both scope and quality, a bite sized RPG you're supposed to replay again and again with different builds. Only thing similar to New Vegas is mechanics that are kind of like an evolution of New Vegas and the game being a 3D open-world-ish action RPG. The comparisons end there, and shoving "FROM THE MAKERS OF FALLOUT NEW VEGAS" in every trailer was a recipe for disappointment. Thank goodness I never gave a fuck about this game's marketing because I confused it for Outer Wilds, and thought that Obsidian were making a cool time paradox RPG which reset itself every 15 minutes of game time, that was something I really wanted to see. Looking at the trailers after playing the game, they're kind of cringe and spoil most of the game(just like Iron Man trailer spoiled like 70% of the movie).
Speaking of a time paradox RPG, I am kind of getting my wish here since in-Exile(formerly Troika aka people who made Bloodlines: The Masquerade) are making a game called "Clockwork Revolution" with a concept just like that, set in a steam-punk industrial revolution Britian. I have no problem with anything they have shown so far, and will probably play that game instead of Avowed when it comes out, my only gripe is the "Harry Potter Question"(HPQ), which is why are there so many swarmy thirld worlders in what looks like an 1800s Britian. Hopefully we won't see a similar meltdown pre launch for Clockwork Revolution, I am actually looking forward to this game unlike I was with Avowed. I just want my Bioshock Infinite esque CRPG, I am not asking for much(kind of like all people wanted out of Avowed was a Skyrim-lite and Obsidian couldn't even deliver on that, so we get a reskinned Outer Worlds instead).

It's not Shaniqua at the DMV being swept up by the DEI drives, it's white women from well-to-do families with shitty dye jobs & personality disorders, 2nd gen woke pajeets, and neutered white men who look like they have AIDS (and possibly do). What DEI does is remove filters for competence, and what you get then is nepotism, hence the insufferable failsons/daughters that flood into these companies. A hood nigga wouldn't survive in that kind of suffocating environment for a few days, the black people who do get in are the 'oreo' blacks who grew up in a half a million dollar home in an affluent suburb.

It's not a glitch that pretty much all good gaming companies are at that gritty start-up stage, that they cut their teeth on simple, lower budget projects, and are mostly staffed with nerdy white guys and east asians as staff. That level is where a 'merit' filter still exists, it's do or die. Once you get bought up by a big studio or just start to get big yourself the rot sets in. Usually they get a few good games out before it becomes terminal, which is the sort of 'golden age' before the collapse. It's why IP loyalty is a sucker's game.
