UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

Let me explain American healthcare.

A few years back, I made some incredibly terrible personal decisions (ie, trusting non‐white people). These decisions led to me living in a McDonald's parking lot for a bit. During this time, I met the guy who parked next to me every night. He had been a higher up with the local Comcast branch until he got on drugs really bad, fucked his life up, got clean, and became my neighbor. Just as he got a new job to start clawing his way back up, we had a really bad snowstorm come in. I mean, bad. He got sick as fuck and had to go to the ER. I found that out because, when I saw him later that week, he had a fuckin hole in his chest with a tube sticking out. He told me that they gave him the most basic treatment necessary, saw he didn't have insurance, and walked him right out the door. He was still so sick he couldn't show up and lost the job he just got hired for. I honestly believe he would have died had I not picked up the slack and paid for his food and meds until he recovered and found another job willing to hire him. The hospital wouldn't have given a hot shit and we both knew he wouldn't have been welcome back.

So many horror stories. That one is sad my friend and that's so good you helped your fellow man.

The ones that really, really break my heart is when they just let vulnerable populations die. Like old grannies and retards.

Confused old ladies getting treated like shit because they have cancer and are to confused to navigate insurance giving them the run around so they just sit in a chair in their living room rotting in pain for a couple of years until they die in pain because the insurance they paid into for 30 years won't spend more than 5 mins on the phone with them because they are easy to bully.

Damn. Maybe I need to stop reading this thread. I hate these insurance leeches so much it's unreal

Wondering if the guy who pulled the trigger was hired or had his own grievances? It’ll be an odd world if C-suits start walking the streets with mobster bodyguard groups on the regular but it’s not unimaginable.
In either case, he had prior training. Either someone hired him, or someone was grooming him to carry this out the same way that it is done with school shooters.

IMO it is a bit weird to see all the Americans cheering on a vigilante execution because “insurance man bad”.

Because.. that’s your system bro. Shareholders demand this guy extracted the maximum possible value for them. That’s backed up by law.
Especially if you’re a fiscal conservative - remember “greed is good”?

But I don’t see anyone criticising that, or considering whether having “the market” make profit from something that is a basic need and directly affects whether people live or die. Because oh no, muh socialism. Better vote to funnel that tax money to billionaires instead.

Hate the game not the playa, yo.
I mean I agree with you on some level here, its like how people get mad at KF about doxing and not mad at how in the US everyone's information is posted all across the internet like a whore showing off her ass.

It just kind of sucks that it even has to get to this level when it comes to healthcare.

You're not factoring in that "we" also includes the entity of the health insurance companies and their lobbyists. Who pay millions upon millions yearly to uphold the system of torture and profit and are often times way more influential than Joe nobody. Hence the frustration and why healthcare is such a hot button topic every election.

Give me clocks if this was asked and answered already:

Why does it matter if they have his DNA? Unless he's already been to prison for murder or rape, that DNA is useless. Are they announcing that to the public in hopes that it makes our hero nervous enough to slip up and got caught?

If I were to guess, he's probably laying low in South East Asia or South America by now.
Genetic genealogy has come a long way. Even if his DNA isn't in any database, there's a very good chance they'll find a parent, sibling, or other relative and trace him that way. If anyone in his extended family was in the military, went to jail, did a 23&me, etc., they'll find it.

This article gives a good summary. (NYT gift article)

I don't know if you are reading the thread but people ARE complaining about that.
And yes, hate all of those involved.

I don't agree with taking anyone's life, however, you cannot continually deny coverage to a policy that I've paid into. I know, give me all the rainbows but this is what happens. Even if that meant making less money as a CEO and as a company then that is just what that would be. Its absolutely insane how insurance companies treat people. They make (especially for the older folks,) they make shit intentionally hard to understand. At the very least, I hope this will make people rethink the structure of insurance companies. Nobody should ever have to choose between food and medication.

You will be pleased to know then that just one part of the many, many legal actions being taken against or involving UnitedHealth was one for antitrust relating to them trying to acquire fucking hospices. And this was only filed like three fucking weeks ago.

Sorry but as someone who had their first experience with watching the final moments of someone's life in a hospice relatively recently - if this CEO faggot had anything to do with hospices I would be pretty close to fedposting here (sorry, I mean to say: deposeting)

I know people have their opinions here about whether or not this or that system works but I have a strong personal feeling that hospices shouldn't be touched at all by private healthcare or health insurance companies whatsoever. It is totally fucked.

You know what’s ironic? While this happens, the people who con the system and know insurance inside and out flood the claims process with countless fraud attempts which also raises prices for everyone.

Last time I checked, it was up to 300 billion in fraud per year now? Its kind of funny that honest people normally get screwed and the fat black nigger retard who keeps trying to say his fake provider had to upcode five MRIs because he has trouble sleeping at night and trauma from slipping on Doritos at the grocery store will sometimes get missed on an ISO search.

It’s not a 100% one way street.

No matt Walsh as always is 100% spot on. This is the usual intersection of anti white and anti rich leftist bs. If the CEO was black and the shooter was white they would play the angle of "white supremacist terrorist".

Don't kid yourselves, this is like the Palestine situation, only reason these lefties are for Palestine is that it's Brown people being the victim of "white people".

The rich angle in this allows plausible deniability much like "muh genocide" gives them cover.

Can't believe some of you are so naive.
Can’t believe it’s that simple. Here I was thinking it was some 1% cheapass Mr. Burns IRL thing.

Honestly I think a lot of the push back of "killing a ceo is bad" people in this thread is....because they aren't American and sincerely can't understand dying because a insurance company you pay money too won't give you coverage.

I won't say it's uniquely American experience. But it is a very, very strange concept for most none Americans to wrap their heads around.

Oh, if you're really dying surely a doctor will just treat you. A doctor won't really let you just die because of money. Like, they will treat you and then fuss about the money later. If you just push hard enough a doctor isn't just going to let you die.

Yes..... yes they will. It's that horrific.

My none American friends it is that bad and it use to be even worse.

And to make it worse. You PAY them to let you die or suffer.

That can be the only reason anybody would white knight for the this dude (the CEO)
this shit is like Pol Pot making you pay a "don't get your head bashed in with a shovel" fee and then eventually sending you a notice about your glasses being a pre-existing condition so your no-shovel service is discontinued

That shit is a total meme. Everytime I have tried to contact my local representatives (Multiple between multiple years) that shit goes to voice mail recommending you email them. Send an email and you get a pre-prepared pre-written statement for whatever thing your complaining about. Leave a voice mail no one calls back. They do not represent you, they do no care.
It's going to vary from rep to rep, but in principle they should have a "constituent services" office that helps people deal with fedgov issues. My parents had some success going to their local congresscritter's office for help when Medicare was doing a stupid regarding income when my mom retired.

Your medication costs x10 as much and your food is filled with poison.
Don't bring my poison food into this and poison-food-medicine into this

Insurance man votes with his wallet and random white guy votes with his gun. Hate the game, not the player.

Both are bad, you still don't have to dox everything that moves just because you can. This site would be under way less pressure if you didn't have to have everyone's full name, address, and phone number on the front page of every thread. Especially when you know police in the US have 85 IQ on average and will raid a house because a TTS voice told them to.

The American system is literally the best in the world. Unlike in the UK we don't have to wait months to see so scummy government doctor.

I'm sorry, I don't speak poor

SMH we need to make it clear europe's the US's bitch. Maybe dissolve NATO, have fun in your decadence

We can always restore broken monuments and shelter the interesting people.
With NATO gone, US will be gone too. We don't need you and your zog puppet states.
You dipshits have done enough damage.

And I'll make a separate post to point something specific out here:
1733515411934.png

Now I don't know a lot about farming but I have read that the reason we get chicken so cheaply is that you can vertically integrate it (chicks, eggs, meat etc) all into one farm. You can't really do it with beef. And when it comes to people trying to do it with pork it starts to get into pretty controversial territory (battery farming and all of that) - I generally personally at least try to buy meat that I believe to be ethically sourced (for example I avoid Brazilian Beef and well as Brazilian Pork).

China has no qualms about that shit though:
1733515542776.png

So this controversy has mainly been centered around UnitedHealth's insurance arm (the "CEO" here was the CEO of the insurance arm of UnitedHealth) but in reality this company wants to basically own the entire health supply chain and "vertically integrate" it so that they own as much as possible of the healthcare system from pregnancy, birth, pharmacies, hospices, mental health, insurance and everything in between.

It's undesirable for antitrust reasons for them to have this much control over the market because they can manipulate pricing and it leads to a lack of competition and a bunch of other shit.

But its also ethically and morally detestable and comes across like they are literally trying to play at being god when it comes to human's entire healthcare options - they're trying to "vertically integrate" humans into a 26-storey pig skyscraper and its fucking disgusting.

Like imagine these fuckstains ended up being responsible for "death panels" that decided you or a loved one's fate - and it was a life or death decision because there's just not enough morphine or whatever to go around? And every doctor on the panel is a fucking UnitedHealth employee? There really has to be a line in all of this shit - they can't own all the hospitals, the pharmacies, the software and the fucking hospices. It's ridiculous and disgusting.

The American system is literally the best in the world.
US ranks last on key health care measures compared with other high-income nations, despite spending the most

"The US spends more on health care than any other high-income country, but a new report suggests that “Americans are sicker, die younger and struggle to afford essential health care.”

Compared with nine other high-income nations, the United States ranked last overall this year, with a lower life expectancy and higher rates of death and disease despite spending the most on health care, according to the report, released Thursday by the independent research group The Commonwealth Fund."

And it spends more because a lot of patient payments and health services revenue do not go directly to care provision or even necessary administration but to line the pockets of assholes like Brian Thompson who is rightfully mouldering on a mortuary slab, may he rot in hell.
