UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

they'll have his DNA and will spare no $$$ finding him, even if it takes months or years, it's inevitable. he should start work on a new target imo.
DNA isn’t enough.

(We also don’t know if they have it. They recovered a water bottle that MAY be his. Given what we know of this guy, and how he has trolled police so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if he planted it himself and maybe put someone else’s DNA on it. Think about it. He paid cash, he knew he would likely be recognized. Ya really think he was just THIRSTY?)

Unless he’s in the system: As in, he committed a rape or something, DNA won’t do Jack.

It also only places him on the scene. Not a whole lot of evidence without a gun, etc.

Because this changes nothing. He'll get replaced and the governmental coverage branch will continue as normal. Likely with more security because now they're under threat.

I'm not going to support gunning people down in the back. This murder also likely halts any ongoing lawsuits and department investigations now that anything Brian Thompson knew is taken to the grave with him. I do understand the hatred people have for Unitedhealth Group, but he's just the sacrificial lamb for temporary relief. And I've seen nothing but the ugliest sides of people revealed celebrating this man's death. A man who nobody even fucking knew or cared about until they found out he was just one CEO of Unitedhealth Group. He likely was corrupt, employing AI modules to deny insurance claims. But him being killed does not solve a damn thing.

And I will not be shocked if an even worse person takes his place, and has security to defend them from the next hit.
This. While it's understandable why everyone despises Healthcare companies, at the end of the day, people like this executive are quite replaceable and I could see United Healthcare using him as a fall guy awhile their awful practices continue

Edit: I also find it funny that the post from @neger psykolog Below mine mocking you shows that the insiders are not the calm collected sociopath CEOmen. But headless chickens trying to put a million fires out.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't posted yet:

It kind of paints a response from internal company sources that contradict what was being told in newspapers about Brian Thompson's reputation within the company. It's a good read also just to see how the company is reacting to what has happened by trying to get employees to shut up and it also points out the hypocrisy and failure of mainstream media to be critical about Brian Thompson and the several lawsuits for internal trading and other things that were going on:
Thompson has been accused of profiting off of insider selling before an anti-trust investigation by the Justice Department was publicly revealed — part of the story employees say they wish the media would cover.

“You can tell they really just want us to shut up and not acknowledge it,” a source within the company told me. “Supervisors are afraid to speak up about the corruption for fear of losing our jobs. It’s like we’re being forced to lionize Brian instead of analyze who he was.”

What evidence could a gun even bring? I know it can bring a lot, hovewer given the sheer proffessionalism on display, i wouldn't be surprised if he bought the gun second hand/on the black market, even if it's legally he would definetly have had to file off the serial number, and, i don't know if it's the case or not, but the gun may aswell be DIY' There's a non-zero chance of it.

And the gun might be with him, in a dumpster, in a lake, dissasembled, basically anywhere

Also, even the employees of his own COMPANY cheer his death???
Jesus fucking christ

Unlucky for the police that this man didn't leave his full social security card and ID in the backpack and instead decided to troll them with monopoly money. I can't wait to find out that he didn't actually get on that bus and is in fact staying in the Hilton or some other Looney Tunes bullshit.

or they could just "23 and me" him. that is how they found the golden state killer.

Imagine being a troll or an alog and wasting police time in Casper, WY or other lolcow areas when you could do your rightful duty and waste the time and fuck up this investigation in Minecraft. Alogging, not even once

I understand what you're saying, but it assuming the dude even wanted to make a change. He might not even care about politics or healthcare.

He might not even have known who this CEO was until he got fucked over.

I personally believe this is just a regular dude who was smart and got fucked over so he decided he was gonna do some personal therapy for himself.

He might not even be political at all. Just a dude that knows the address and name of somebody who really hurt him. So he hurt them back.

Might not even be about a political statement. This seems very, very personal.

Usually people with grand world changing goals have huge notes and manifesto and messages to give the world.

This dude just did what he felt needed to be done and left. Hasn't gave any kind word. It seems super personal for him. Probably up until he personally got fucked didn't care much for politics. But who knows. The fact there is no statement or anything from him points to him not giving a fuck about anything other than some kind of personal revenge

Eye for an eye type of shit

Edit: the bullets I guess could be a statement but they just come across as a cheeky middle finger to me

I imagine the gun is in his pocket. No better place to keep it but on his person. Less of a trail.

It's not black pill, he has a point. Being a CEO just requires experience in the field, connections and an MBA, maybe. They are easy to find and easy to replace, so unless the revolutionary spirit lights up in the heart of every American, things will continue business as usual. Valery Sablin (the dude who tried to start a new revolution in the USSR and is the basis for "The Hunt for The Red October") thought revolution would occur but people don't do shit.

I like heroes and romantic ideals as much as the next guy, but pragmatism is also important, and my chips are in "You won't do shit, this was a one off" regarding America. The corporate devouring of the country will continue.

You have 0 idea what will fallout of this situation. You are just dressing up your own cynic bullshit after buying in to CEOs like Larry Fink and the rest being "untouchable".
Well someone reached out and touched them. Insiders are leaking saying that they are on fire. If they were truly "in control" and "easily replaceable" Why would the leaks be coming out in the first place you massive fag.
"Pragmatism"
cowardice disguised in logic.

It’s not about evidence. It’s about making the cops look less bad. Finding a gun gives them extra time to ‘investigate’ before people start asking more questions about why this guy hasn’t been found.

Yeah but if he wants to leave the country he has to get rid of it. Which is as easy as thorwing it in a lake/river in a remote forest at night. Or dissasembling it and throwing the indidual parts out, and for extra cerfullness also spread them out

Yeah this is a pretty true sadly - the number of people who will actually do anything meaningful is slim.

But I think this does set a very loud precedent that has scared the fuck out of corporate America and probably politicians also. In that way it is quite different to starting a grassroots revolution.
