I definitely wouldn't say that's the only thing it's got, but to not even nominate it in a fairly weak year for games is crazy.

I can't wait to see what happens when the servers for these games die in a few years. All that hard work (lol) and effort (alongside the money the whales shelled out) completely gone in an instant.

Either people will revolt and ask for an online version for PC or Mobile (will never happen) or the next new thing will appear and everyone will forget about them and move onto them.

How anyone can look at these games and go "yea, this is fine, what's your problem?" is beyond me. Do they have potential to be something great? Yes, but not as free-to-play mobile shit.

Regarding Gacha, I think the motivation is the intrinsic appeal of sexy anime waifus rather than any extrinsic motivation (e.g., I want people to see that: I have a lot of money, I'm a no-life player of the game, I'm an oldfag player etc.) that is common with collectors in other games (mainly MMOs). Thus, I think as long as the items are available in some form or another the devs could get away with shutting the servers down without the whales going postal. Regardless, I very much doubt that the big titles will be shutting down any time soon.

You are right that humans have an intrinsic "nostalgia-glasses" bias for their childhood games, but Starfield is a bridge too far - I refuse to believe even a child would find entertainment from it.

This shit is so fucking atrocious and I mean it as a Genshin retard. I love Shadow of the Erdtree, but really? There were no other games? Just make category for DLC at this point. I'm surprised that ZZZ made it here instead of Stellar Blade. I didn't play both of these games (the only titles that I did play from here are Genshin and Elden DLC) but from what I saw people tend to like Stellar Blade more than ZZZ. ZZZ is kinda hated by gacha fans overall and even die hard Hoyoverse fans don't like it that much. People were crying due to gamers vote being worth only 10% and yeah, no wonder now why it's worth so little.

This is kind of my thoughts on it. Geoff loves to push the false narrative that Kojima is anything other than a hack who gets off on how deep he thinks he is. His games are trash and haven't had a good idea since I was a child and he can't take any amount of criticism about his shit products that at this point are only propped up by cunts on twitch soy wojaking and projecting fake personal meaning onto his games.

I don't want the VGA's to be boring because it takes like 3 hours to get through them, but I really am only tuning in for the Mechabreak announcement. Hopefully its a release date soon with another open beta starting tonight or something. That was the most fun team game I got to play with my frens all year.
