Regardless, attacking the Houthis is a very safe option since no one (other than Hamas) likes them. They disrupt regional trade, so no real nation will stand up with them. Doesn't much change the overall situation in the ME though.

I agree. It does buy the US some goodwill in that region since the Houthis are just heavily armed Islamic pirates.

The solution is between “each man owns his tools” and “one company owns everything” - local ownership of local production solves many of the issues, except market efficiency, which is worthless anyway.

Also, it just recreates largely what we have now which would assume the problems they complain about - unemployment, competition, and exploitation - would still exist. The issues they have largely are just the unwillingness to accept adult responsibilities.
